The corset is too long for the dress. Unless you're wearing it underneath, in which case the ruffles on the chest will probably make your chest look lumpy.

I really love the tights on the left and the shoes you've picked, very classy with the dress. The shawls, I feel, are conflicting with the overall clean and crisp silhouette of your other items. If you're worried about being cold, I'd select a sleek jacket instead. The corset also looks a bit too ruffly for the outfit; I think a corset can work here, but you'll need one that's much simpler. Love those side-swept hairstyles, I think either will look very nice!

Anon I own both the left tights and the boots- let me warn you that tights can be slightly slippery in that shoe. Also IRL the print on those tights are less of a platinum gray and more of a warmer pink-toned gray.

Ahh, I was going to say it looks a bit like a lost cause as-is. Is it a maroon-ish color or more brown? Can't quite tell but I could give it a shot I guess.

Okay, this is way oversimplified because I'm about to go to sleep, but here's a few different simpler ideas with how you can work with this.

The weird cutouts on the sleeves have gotta go, so I gave you some jacket options- navy would go well with this color depending on how reddish it is, so I gave you a navy cardi- was trying to find some good brand print navy OTK's to go with this but nothing decent was coming up; so keep that in mind but for this I just gave you plain tights. These Bodyline shoes will hopefully match the dress, not sure on that one... but I tried to accessorize to keep the feel a little more playful than the second. Finding accessories around this color was a pain in the ass though, so the choices aren't quite what I'd imagine. But so goes accessory shopping anyway... Hopefully the color isn't way off.

The other option I gave you is a way more mature look.. a cropped blazer- dark charcoal to black would work with this color too. For the mature look I paired it with small-diamond knit tights and some badass Neosens from a number of seasons ago (super expensive but ridiculously cool shoe brand). A bunch of grown up jewelry. Basically some kind of mature 'interest shoe' and jewelry works with this look. Ring overload.

Basically... I think drawing attention away from the questionable dress quality with the accessories works better than actually focusing on the dress, haha. Hopefully this is halfway decent, I'm off for the night.

Well, cardigan or blazer like I said up there. Blazer would probably be better in all honesty so it doesn't look lumpy underneath, but a looser-sleeved cardigan would work as well, I think.

If you're at all handy with sewing, I would also consider chopping most of the sleeve off and cuffing it to make it a shortsleeved OP so only one of those hideous diamond things is showing.

Black blouse of course, and if you want to keep it sweeter I would match your shoes to the pink of the ruffles/flowers. If more classic, go with all black accessories apart from maybe a floral headpiece that matches the print.

Eh... the pink and mint colorways of this are not really the best for refined, but it might be doable. Pair with cream/ivory that matches the chess pieces to tone the pink down, since I think coordinating with brown would only keep it in the sweet realm. Coordinate with a jacket or cardigan rather than a blouse to again keep it from the sweet side.

Ditch the cardigan, it looks like crap. Get a velveteen bolero instead. Jewelry in creamy pastel tones to match the print, and heeled black shoes. Look at various JetJ coords for inspiration, since that's what this is a knockoff of.

...But seriously, an antiqued crown-adorned headband of some kind would be ideal. Not like an actual minicrown though, those are tacky. I believe FoxCherry has made crown motif headdresses before, I'll see if I can pull some up that would go with this.

Apart from that, I think coording it with black blouse/tights would be nice instead of offwhite, which would wash everything out too much. And the print is already washed out looking as it is.

But I think the color of the dress are already much adding the green into the socks would make me more, can we say busy? Brown blazer, tights and boots. As long as you stick to more neutral/darker colours and more...sleek items (think plain blazer with subtle lace trim as opposed to an AP blazer, plain brown tights and plain lace up victorian boots) it will look more refined. Also, no headbow, if you must have a hair accessory smaller clips are better. I liked this coord with melty chocolate, maybe you could draw inspiration from that?

I think removing the sleeve of the op and use bolero/jacket can add some new accent color. Choosing this old Mary Magdalene jacket for the neckline can still show the chest details, but it can be changed into any color/style, of course.

Its a bit sweet for my usual taste but I picked it up pretty cheap for what it was.

I am not a fan of the bodice at all - the lace looks too large, and the neckline overall is awkward. It looks to me like your bra-straps would show.

Could someone help me out with IW's Charles Crown OP in bordeaux? When I bought it my first thought was to pair it with black since I thought white/offwhite might be overwhelming but I'm having a lot of second thoughts, and am just stumped in general.

The shoes in OP look pretty shitty in person. I just sent them back to DSW 4 days ago because the quality was so bad. Material was thin and rubbery looking and there was glue all over the bows.

I totally disagree... I have these as well and they're really great, decent quality for pleather there's no construction flaws on mine at all, and they're more comfortable walking out than I thought they'd be apart from slight pressure on the sides at the ball of the foot. You must have gotten duds.
