you could do three varieties- a sweeter print with demeter and persephone walking through fields of blossoms and grain, a more classic, somber-colored print of hades snatching persephone away to the underworld, then a hard gothic print of pale whites and jet blacks of demeter mourning in snow with the border being hades offering persephone the pomegranates. it might be a little cliche, but it could also be awesome as mucha-style "windows"(like midsummer's night dream) in the print, telling the story.

Ah, I see what you mean! I only just remembered that all four hooves don't actually have to be touching the ground as carousel horses don't need any support from their legs, so that's made my poses way more interesting. I may bend that leg under a touch so it's not so rigidly straight, but I'll see how the rest of the sketch turns out.

I was planning on having each variation with a different "horn"; one with a long, lethally pointy traditional horn (possibly twisty-turny like on the drawing I posted further up the thread.), one with ram's horns and a third with some other variety.

Their is correct. There is not.

At any rate, they look too realistic for my liking. The original print is really stylised and cartoony. I think it would pay to alter the proportions and make them gangly and grotesque. Their faces are also too boxy to be menacing. They'd look more ominious if you give them a predatorial shape that's slightly less horse-accurate. Go with sharper, wedge-shaped faces with eyes that aren't so round--flatten the top line and give them some angle.

First off, I love you, let me bear your children, other various creepy attempts to express just how much adore you, etcetera, etcetera

As far as suggestions go, maybe make a layer of velociraptor (or other dinosaur) eggs to put at the very bottom instead of the long spine and skull thing going on down there
It also needs something above the bottom area, more dinos or dino parts/features (eyes/teeth/claws), I'm not sure
Maybe a mosquito in amber, be more jurassic park-y
Or to go with the skeleton theme, fiery meteors?
Maybe you can even fit some T-rex action or skeleton in there somewhere
It might need something besides just dino skeletons, maybe like exotic plant leaves
Maybe see if you can do some sort of reptile skin texture for the background
These are just ideas of course but maybe they'll help a little

And thank you, again. You're great,a non. When it's done, I might have to get fabric of this made and make a superkawaiidesu loliraptor JSK or something out of it. It would be fabulous.

Ok so I didn't realize what was going on... the horses do not have 'butt horns' (to the anon designing this, not to the anon I'm replyin git) they have huge hooks hooked through their back with the points protruding out of the hip area. I know this picture has already been posted, but I just wanted to explain to to people a bit better so they realize it's a hook point, not a... butt horn

I'm not a fan of the print above because of that (since it doesn't look like a hook at all in the design) and the anatomy is bugging me. I used to ride as well as own horses so funky anatomy bugs me a bit.

i think a desire to use the characters themselves is what can drag a print down and make it cartoony. not that it couldn't be done in an elegant way, but a lot of people, when designing a print, want the print NOW and just slap some 8bit images pulled from google together and call it a day, instead of considering what elements of the character can translate well to a print. with link, for example, dark green with a cream border, maybe with da vinci style schematic sketches of some of the more famous weapons, fairies, and a soft gold background pattern of interlinking O's like his chainmail. with ganon, i immediately think bright bold reds on black, maybe a greek key motif (similar to the one on his robes from WW). zelda, i would definitely pull in her dress trim from either OOT or TP, as well as elements like the harp.

Hmm, maybe add some large, overlapping, barely visible, semi-transparent grey gears to the waist-ward part of the print for Walpurgisnacht.

And, like >>6756202 said, a rich Walpurgis blue is a given. Maybe incorporate Wally's circus-like procession into account in the form of thin lines of multicolored lights/tags...whatever those decorations are called around the bottom. Nothing too flashy.

If you wanted to focus on Oktavia like >>6755500 said, a border of thin crossed swords in a pale grey over which the rune strip would be transposed might look good at the bottom. In fact I think the rune strip would look nice if the runes looked embroidered into a red ribbon strip symbolic of Oktavia's necktie, just to break up the grey blob.

And wheels instead of Brazilian Night gears.

Holy shit, Oktavia, y u so loli-able?
