Well, my cosplay idea got shot down by two different people, so I'll probably just dress in my normal clothes. I'm still kind of wondering whether to wear my hair down or not though. I did a Shinku cosplay at MTAC years and years ago. I met a little girl cosplaying Kanaria and we took pictures together. She was adorable and even had a little violin with her. It's probably for the best no pictures exist from that event. My cosplay was bought and the bonnet looked funny. Still, it was fun to have five seconds of fame because this little girl wanted photos with me, and a bunch of people came around to take pictures because they saw the little girl's father with a professional camera and thought something awesome was going on. lol.

This. As a native Nashvillian (Goodlettsville, but close enough), the good shit's hard to find. Puckett's is 2 blocks away and has bitchin' brisket and the best fried chicken I've had that's not made by a black woman. I've been to GMX, and it's the complete fucking opposite. EVERYONE wants to talk.

I was there Friday afternoon and Saturday all day going back and forth from Full Moon but I spent most of my time at the horror con since I drift more into rockabilly.

I saw many cute lolitas but I couldn't ever catch them to say hello! I can also be an awkward fag so. :/ I was the lone gothic lolita or at least that I am aware of (wore Castle of Nightmare on Friday, Ruins Cathedral Saturday morning, and just a plain black Moitie skirt Sat afternoon). /forever alone

I did get a lot of compliments and had an amazing time so I was very happy that I got to go!

The content hasn't been good for a couple of years now. I felt like they kind of stepped it up a bit this year compared to Omega, but it's still underwhelming. I think a lot of it has to do with GMX taking a lot of content MTAC used to have before, and fan panels kind of taking over for one reason or another. Hopefully they can rein it in and get some good stuff going (though the easiest way to fix any complaints you have about panels is to fucking nut up and run one).

GMX content is generally kickass. It's way more relaxed and there's a lot of cool stuff. Mind you, MTAC is "Anime, Manga, Japanese culture, Adult Anime (etc), and Art", whereas GMX is essentially "Everything nerdy that MTAC doesn't touch on", so GMX's content is naturally going to be better and a lot more broad than MTAC's.

If you aren't into anime, you're probably never going to enjoy MTAC just on principle.

I literally had to leave after the first five minutes.
All of the girls come in drunk. They start off explaining they work for Geek Goddess and use subtle disses as a "company that will not be name" which most people would know was referring to Cosplay Deviants.
They then explaining how they got into posing nude on the internet. One girl said she did it as a joke, another said she was doing it for free and found out she could make money off it.
The moment that got me hardest was right after that, one of the girls grabs the mic and says (of course not exactly but pretty darn close) " Before we get started, I wanna say first of, none of us were forced to do this. No one had a gun to our head and made us do this. We did this out of our own free will, and that does not make us sluts"
A few people sitting around me murmured, "so if you get raped, you must be a slut by that logic"

I left and eventually hit up the rave/dance thing. Sometime during it, the same girls came on stage to dance and was ass clapping on the edge of the stage within hands reach. There were a few guys actually reaching up touching their ass and legs. MTAC staff eventually made them (the girls) move away from the edge of the stage

She liked my cosplay do she came up to ask questions and she had a slight Russian accent? She was in a pastry Lolita print on Friday and a Meulin homestuck as well as Pokemon Trainer on Saturday. She was also a booth girl at uh some Akai-con thing.

Anyways she was really nice, and i'll admit to a con crush. But she seemed really popular people kept coming up to her just to talk and hug her. And she was really pretty.
