I just got the black lipstick I ordered from Portland Black Lipstick Co. in the mail, and it's definitely the darkest black I've ever used, but there's a catch - it fucking smears all over the place, it is impossible to get a clean line because if it smudges, it stains, and only comes off with makeup remover. Is there a better brand for black lipstick or should I invest in a lipstick sealant? Do lipstick sealants even work?

Use a lip pencil to line your lips, then use a lip brush (http://www.eyeslipsface.com/elf/tools/single-brushes/lip_defining_brush for example) to actually apply it

You won't get a clean line applying it straight from the tube because it has no shape due to the fact that they use chapstick tubes.

(Lip sealants do in fact work, but lining and more careful application should fix your issue

It's expensive-ish, but my tube has lasted me so long, I've had mine for a decent year or so, and I only have to reapply after eating, usually. It's a matte finish as well, so it's perfect, and it pretty much doesn't come off until you rub it with a makeup wipe for three years.

I've read Ulysses. You can handle it if you're not a literary pleb. It's not even that huge of a book (264,861 words - compare to Les Miserables at 530k+, War and Peace at 587k+). Homestuck, on the other hand, I read 2000 pages of and gave up because it was going nowhere.

I saw a post floating around a few weeks back saying Murtunacaptor was doing commissions for arm socks. I think the cost was around $35, not including shipping and if you provided your own tights (could be wrong though).

From the photos listed in the post, I almost bought some, but then I managed to convince myself that yeah, eating cup o noodles and tuna and eggs every day is really shit and I needed real groceries.

I made my very first pair of armsocks over a weekend and it took me two or three hours tops. Practice on a $2 pair from Target and go from there. They are really not so hard? Mine went on like gloves and stayed on with elastic straps that I crossed over my chest under my shirt, affixed to thinner elastic bands at the shoulders (ends of the gloves). They were really straightforward and I machine sewed them without any cardboard guide.

Totally gonna try your elastic trick, that's a great idea! I've had a hard time keeping my tights up, they're always heaps too long and get really bunchy when worn. Making a "shirt" out of them didn't help and neither did yanking them all the way up my arm and pinning them into my shirt. They still bunch like crazy.

Also, if you have a machine, sewing your own tights is a piece of cake. Honestly, the only time consuming part is waiting for the nail polish on the seams and fake nails to dry.
