Pretty much any pretty boy in anime has a higher sucess rate if cosplayed by a female than a male

Well, I dunno about that. Usually, whenever I see girls crossplay their favorite anime boys, their frame is usually strikingly off. Tiger and Bunny are good examples of this- Dudes could pull them off better if they did their hair better and were more skilled with makeup.

True, that's a good example. Then again, Bunny does have a manly body even though he's so pretty. A lot of bishies out there look like girls without boobs though so you'd need to have rather soft features (or good make up skills) to match that.

There are a bunch of decent male cosplayers out there, but even Word of God said he looks like a girl.
I somehow really wanna see Krautertee cosplay him.

On the other hand, more "mature" boys like L and Light might be done better with males (moreso light, since he has small eyes placed high on his face- more masculine features)
Maybe it's because there are so many bad crossplays of them out there, but boys could pull em off better

I really disagree with this. Bishounen, excepting actual traps, are supposed to look like pretty boys, not women. Even great crossplayers almost always look like women in face and body and it doesn't look right. And even traps are supposed to have masculine (thin but curveless, narrow hips and no breasts at all) bodies that women are much less likely to have than petite men.

This puts me in a state of despair.

And don't get me started on Jack Frost- He may be lean, but he has a very angular, distinctly male face.

I guess I was mainly talking about child characters. Let's take Sora for example! I haven't played any KH games, but he's aged around 13, right? Since most people in the cosplaying scene are adults, you'd need to keep your childlike face to be convincing. a lot of men don't keep childlike facial features at adulthood (As seen in every Ness cosplay ever; Though, of course, there are always exceptions, like Elijah Wood. but he's a movie star) while women tend to keep more baby-faces, so it's easier for them I'd imagine.

Pretty much anything with a really large yaoi fanbase. Kuroko's Basketball is the current one right now as gatherings and entire groups are done without a single guy.

I feel that I have the body to cosplay these kinds of characters..Just I don't know about my face.

I've met guys, especially guys under 20, with baby-faces who could cosplay as one of these characters if they tried. The problem is, I think most people cosplay characters they wish they were more like- most guys want to cosplay manly characters.

The problem with guys doing Bridget is that unless you're prepubescent, it just doesn't work no matter how much of a pretty guy you are. Bridget's supposed to be a young boy, not a pretty 20 year old guy (those guys should be cosplaying Ky, who in turn only seems to get 4/10 lanky stringbeans cosplaying him when he's canonly a 10/10 and fit...).

Personally, I always thought that characters like France and Grell could only be pulled off by gay men.

Anyways, I really want to cosplay Sealand when he's older. Same sailor suit, but out grown, and stained. Neck beard with a corn cob pipe and a flask. I wanted to burn a hole in the hat and install a small dry ice compartment so it would continually smoke representing when it caught on fire back in 2006. I'm more of a history fan than a Hetalia fan, but this would make my day.

Think I could pull it off?
