Picking up 5 people from Sea-tac in ~2 hours. So fucking excited. Weather's looking great so far. Hoping that I'll be able to attend both the /a/ and /cgl/ meets even if just for a few minutes to catch some spaghetti.

I have almost $700

I'll spend some of it on lunch with my gf tomorrow and snacks for the hotel, but the rest of it is going to be spent in the con.

Panic is setting in. I'm not that bad off, all I have to do is finish some boots and a moderately difficult jacket but for some reason it feels like the end of the universe.

The rest is just odds and ends, small snaps and making sure everything fits together right and packing.

I think this is mostly due to the fact I haven't had pre-con rush or stress in years and memories are flooding back of my youth where I spent half the convention sewing in the hotel room or safety pinning everything together last minute...

The greyhound in my city offers standby-type seating. Where if they aren't full by departure time, they give you the seat at a discounted price too. If you have the chance, call them or even better, go in person to confirm.

so my fiance bought my ticket around the feb 21, and that was that.

upon her emailing me the ticket, it turns out she put it as her name. so now she has two tickets, and I have none. the reg email has closed shop, and she will be unable to attend due to a family passing. I have no freakin clue how im gonna be able to get my ticket corrected. I had her mail me both hers and whats supposed to be my ticket, and gonna have her sign off on it sayin it was meant for me,while having her ticket (which was bought back in october) alongside it to prove its not the same ticket.

anyone know of a solution? or is any of the pre reg peeps lurkin on here to help me out? I can provide all needed info to them, but I just dunno how to go about it. I am the rather awkward Asian person in the wheat colored sweater and pink shirt that was at the /cgl/ meetup at the cafe. I'm sorry if I seemed somewhat peculiar, I am not very good at starting conversations but I think I am getting better at it.

It was my first time going to a convention and I enjoyed it very much. Also, everyone I met from /cgl/ was extremely kind. I was wondering if anyone would like to keep in touch, because I will not be able to attend the rest of the convention, and I would really like it if we were able to become friends. How much do you guys tip housekeeping? We rented two rooms and my sister was going to leave 4 bucks per room.

I am astounded at her cheapness! The hotel even discounyed her 20 bucks a night because they flubbed up our rooms.

For a party if 6, I told her 8-10 bucks per room was just fine.

Sakuracon was awesome! I pretty much spent all of my time working at the Crunchyroll booth or running around with friends and I didn't go to a single Sakuracon related panel aside from viewing and gaming rooms, but I'd give it a 9/10 for sure.

Spent a lot of the con just hanging out with people but I had a decent time. My phone and 3DS got stolen while I was getting a picture taken on Day 0, which made the con kinda eh for me. But Skullgirls cosplay and seeing a buncha folks was able to cheer me up so I could enjoy the rest of con. I met a couple of cgl peeps I didn't know and hang out with others I didn't know that well so it was nice conversing with ya'll.

We all completely realize we pulled a nostalgia critic on Spaceship of love though, and tried to do WAY too many skits and stuff. We are going to be pulling waaaaay back on that for next year. We learned a lot out of this year and it's going to be helping us grow.

Nah, as much as I'd love it, that shit's expensive. I just made one with a cheap tie+bias tape+iron-ons. It's not as slick as the official one but since it's a little blockier it pops nicely in photos.

The Jojo's were all either on their own or a part of 2-4 person groups. But thanks to the "Stand users attract each other" rule, almost all of us ran into each other on Saturday and formed an impromptu photoshoot group. I ended up spending most of Saturday hanging out with a Caesar and a Suzie Q, among others.

I've been cosplaying Jojo's at Sakuracon for years now, and this is the first time we've ever had this many people. It was truly a beautiful day in Duwang.
