I have the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, the 3 minute miracle and the shine serum. Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi styling treatment oil or Gloss Drops are both great for dry hair, the Awapuhi can be put in wet hair as well but Super Skinny is what you'd want if you want to put it in wet hair instead of Gloss Drops

Bed Head's Dumb Blonde is really really nice, dry hair only

Redken's serum is really nice- can't think of the exact name right now. wet or dry hair.

any serum or cream is basically okay. if you NEED drug store the Healthy Sexy Hair line is good, and so is Got 2b Glued. they have this line that's like pink and yellow bottles and is quite nice- but i don't really know what is in it ingredient wise. but i used it for a very long time and my hair is really healthy so- lol

Sally's has fine sheers, just only cut your hair with them. nothing else. no paper, thread, nothing at all.

Pureology is like the holy grail of hair care for damaged in most peoples eyes, but it makes mine feel - too clean. like there's no oil in it at all and i like a bit of artificial softness to my hair.
Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi wild ginger shampoo and conditioner does the same thing to me.

I was bleaching my hair for a while but then I went brown and cut it off to my shoulders in Jan. It has faded out to a medium blonde now and I am letting it grow out. I understand where you are coming from though, I like to switch between the purple and green bottle since the green can be too drying from the protein, and the purple can be too oily from the moisturizing. I've never tried Paul Mitchell though, it's so hard to find that perfect shampoo/conditioner mix that doesn't over dry or moisturize your hair.

Get yourself some Aussie "Moist", both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair is mostly dry/coarse. I used to use the shit OP posted because that's all my family bought. I just used to use whatever said "shampoo" in the bathroom.

Friend of mine told me to switch shampoos...and I've never looked back. My hair is silky smooth and healthy now.

it means your hair is porous, it soaks up a lot of moisture.

it does not mean it's dry, and don't use Aussie.

>>6715614
that's because the expensive shampoo is getting off all the crap and silicone from the cheap stuff. it takes a solid month for your head to readjust but it's worth it if you ever want to bleach your hair or anything more serious than the same color every month or so.

i mean, realistically, it doesn't matter what you do or what you use. very few people will have horror stories- but they can happen and prevention is the best medicine.
like chemical cuts are not just from what brand of hair color or lightener or perm or whatever you use- but what's in your hair. and those cheap shampoos will build you up on silicone and that shit is nasty
like again, that girl who was doing the hair curling tutorial. it was from the cheap product melting, not her hair melting.

>>6715620

if you color your hair (or do anything chemical) at all though i don't recommend it.

>>6715635
Dove is awful. so much silicone
the reason your hair feels good is because it's literally being encased in silicone, and dying inside of that coating.

if you HAVE to go drug store, and i understand that i do, just go through the ingredients and avoid anything with any word ending in "cone".

>> No.6715779

>>6715635
oh, and a silicone is literally the 3rd chemical in this. which means it's the 3rd highest content.

Water (Aqua) , Cetearyl Alcohol , Dimethicone , Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine , Behentrimonium Chloride , Fragrance (Parfum) , Dipropylene Glycol , Lactic Acid , Amodimethicone , Potassium Chloride , Disodium EDTA , DMDM Hydantoin , PEG 8 , Propylheptyl Ether , Cetrimonium Chloride , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140) , Yellow 6 Aluminum Lake (CI 15985)

>Dimethicone
>Amodimethicone

if a word ending in "cone" is like, the second to last ingredient, it's not as big of a deal. but omg the third one.
so bad

I have a fucking shit load of split ends and it seems impossible to avoid.
I used to dye my hair loads and whilst it was never crispy fried, I did have a fair amount of splits. Now I've gone natural and have stopped dying my hair and they're still there. I mean, I don't expect them to go away but what I mean is that my hair snaps so fucking easily. I can't even pull a hair tie without taking at least 2-4 massive strands of hair with it.

Ah A hair thread, perfect.
I have sorta short wavy hair (more wavy near the ends), sorta dry really bad frizz going on. If I grow it out the wavy usually starts around my chin, right now anyway I been using Aussie Smooth for Shampoo and Moist for conditioner (when I bought my big bottles with the pump the store was out of Moist Shampoo so I bought the smooth) and its been like 6 months with the same big bottles.
I started to notice my head starts to Itch really badly if I use the same brand shampoo and conditioner for too long, even if I change types through out the time I was using it. (before someone asks no I don't have lice, I'm checked regularly)
This has happened with multiple brands over the last few years. Does anyone else experiences this? No one else in my family has this problem.
Can anyone recommend what I can use next?
I have used Tresemme, Pantine, VO5, White Rain, Nexxus, Ossart, Mane and Tail, and Head & Shoulders (this really makes my head itch)

Your hair looks like it's been stripped, colored, stripped and recolored multiple times in its lifetime. Confirm/deny?

If confirm, first you stop coloring your hair. Regardless of coloring status, consider a shortgr hairstyle. It looks reasonably healthy until it gets to the mid-cheek level, then it goes frizzy and gross. Clearly that's the stopping point of where your hair retains some manner of health.

>> No.6716098

That's funny you say that, because I went through the same situation. Major organ surgery that caused my hair to thin out and actually bald in some places. It looks really bad at shoulder length. Cut it to chin length and it looks great now. It took some time for the hairloss to stop completely and for the patchy spots to grow back in, but I'm SO glad I got the shorter cut. I think you will be much happier once it's done. Consider chin length layers in the front, flat-ironed, with a progressively shorter taper going to the back of your head.
