/cgl/ - Cosplay & EGL

I'm gonna be there as gijinka!Sakamoto (Nichijou) and possibly Anthony (Madoka). I doubt I'll be cosplaying on Friday due to hosting a panel, but a meetup might be fun.

I'll be going in my STALKER costume as well as John Freeman and maybe Luka from MGQ; got the Hotel Booked and Ticket bought

I'll be there at Junko (Dangan Ronpa) and Yukiko (Persona 4) and... well, I haven't picked my third costume yet.

I'm not too impressed with the guest list this year, but I'm more into fandoms this year than I was last year, so I'm hoping to meet lots of people!

Lina Inverse and Kain Fuery. Almost done most of Lina's armor except for so much goddamn resin casting left. Trying to think of a third cosplay.... My group is staying at the Sheraton, so it's convenient enough to wear multiple costumes the same day.

I'm focusing on being a good Fuery, and not looking like a half assed Hughes, so I'm figuring out ways to have look decidedly... Fuery. I hope noticeably larger classes will make enough of a difference, but I've been on the lookout for some old style headphones to wear. Luckily, I'm part of a group with a Hughes in it, and we'll look pretty different.

Definitely looking forward to the meet up pretty sure it's usually at P.F Changs, thats where its been the last couple years. But I think my girlfriend and I are gonna do Team Rocket grunts for one of the days :P I was hoping to get a bunch of my friends together as a horde of zombies to attack the Resident Evil photoshoot but they're being dumb about it >.<

I'm going to cosplay a bunch of touhous. Yuuka, same as every year, Seiga and maybe Utsuho. I was also thinking of cosplaying Kyoko from Irisu syndrome but I'm unsure I have enough time.

On another note, anyone else excited about the Origa concert?

Been waiting for one of these to show up. Just gonna do some low key Vocaloid because I'm not really the best cosplayer >.> . I hope I'll see some of you there. :3

Going as Reimu Hakurei on Friday and Sailor Jupiter on Saturday. It will be sort of weird because it's so late this year, but maybe it will be nice enough to go outside without a jacket.

I'm so glad AB is in May this year. More time to work on cosplay, and hopefully no ice cold death wind. I did a lot of outdoor shoots, and my friends were freezing.

i'm so overwhelmed, trying to balance school, my job, and 5 cosplays is kinda hard for me! hoping to get as much as i can before finals. but i'm really excited to be finally cosplaying Utena (dream costume) and my friend will be cosplaying Anthy with me. can't wait!

I'm excited someone made an AB post. I really like the theme this year and will be cosplaying from a yokai-themed anime to match.

Any panel discussions/suggestions? I wish people discussed it more on the forums.

As an overall notes on panels, be wary of the lines. D: AB is awful at stopping line cutting, and rooms get packed pretty quickly. I ran a popular Pokemon panel in 2011, and nobody was nice enough to tell the last hundred plus people in line that they wouldn't make it in, despite waiting in line for so long.
Not too many panelists have posted if they got in so far, but the ideas on the forums seem like AB's typical panel lineup. ''Anime's Worst Dress, could be fun, or a trainwreck. A Yuri panel got in that I have high hopes for. Any others you know of that got in?

Oh I know about the panels... I actually was in that Pokemon panel line because it seemed interesting and was told it was full.
I have high hopes for this horror story/folklore panel someone is planning. It fits the theme this year too.
I don't know much about the ones that got in, but I know a friend of mine is running that DRRR panel from last year.

I'll be going as The 4th Doctor, with Rorschach from The Watchmen as a backup.

Is there going to be any other Jojo cosplayers out there? I'm going as Joseph Joestar, but it's kind of a simple closet cosplay sans the scarf/make-up, so I'm worried no one will get it. Also going as Kamen Rider OOOs again hopefully.

I'm not sure if I'm cosplaying this year (and I've yet to post on the forums), but I did recently get a confirmation that I'm hosting a panel this year. I've always been a huge fan of weird folklore, so a yokai-themed AB was a nice surprise - I'm doing a panel that teaches its audience about the more bizarre yokai out there (things like the ashiarai-yashiki and the te-no-me/shiri-me).

Was going to do lolita on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday and cosplay uguu Homura on Saturday but I just got day dream carnival so UM ya that is Saturday. Maybe cosplay Friday?
Ya Thursday and Monday are not real convention days but I will still be in Boston so webbs.

I too am super pumped for Origa. Good guests this year, I think. Not fantastic, but good.

Probably going as Dekomori (Chuu2), Original!Miku, and BunnySuit!Madoka. It'll be my 6th year in a row, so I'm pumped!!
