These are nice!

Shitty phone progress pics of my Raikou Gijinka. There is a lot incomplete for the time being (Including, but not exclusive to; wrong wig, no mask, lack of bias tape, no painted designs, no home made sword, wrong pants, etc...)

But I figured that this would be the best place to ask for suggestions and comments on my costume itself. I want to do Raikou justice because he is my favorite legandary and he doesn't get enough love.

Yeah, I will be screen printing the leg symbols on the coat where they would correspond with the symbols on his legs.I am also going to get embroidered emblems for the sleeves for the arm pattern as well. I am going to be wearing white paints and possibly white shirt with a lavender tie under the coat to mimic his underbody

I have fabric set aside to work on these two for my husband and me. Also have my wig and the Flowers for the head piece on Moltres. I plan to modify it a bit, mostly because I don't feel like having my waist and thighs exposed, so I'll probably have some type of leotard layered underneath.

I had alot of fun in this cosplay, but I dont think I will ever wear it again

that's a neat concept, did you have a sailor scout suicune and raikou too? i was thinking just last night that it would be cool to see sailor scouts of terrakion, virizion, cobalion and keldeo.

I really love the direction this cosplayer took with Jigglypuff. The lolita inspired look + wig really pull together the kind of "idol" persona of jiggypuff

mask base, wire frame, paper pulp, and then DAS air dry clay, lots of sanding and then acrylics. I have WIP photos floating around my computer somewhere.

I can't tell if the Jigglypuff is in my comm, or if she's just somebody who looks like a girl in my comm. If it is who I think it is, she's a really amazing lolita, her coord skills are great.

The tail in the final version is going to be a better designed belt that isn't just a scarf that I tied to my waist to make the jacket stay together. Because I already have the entire costume fully lined (Which is fucking awesome, because I can turn it inside out and make it a neat purple jacket too) I don't know if I want to do something like a cape. Because I live in a hot climate, a lined jacket should be enough, plus I prefer a more sleek simple design, especially for electric pokemon.

I found this, and though I do like the jacket, the wig, dark blue undershirt and cameo pants kill it for me. I like the monster hunter-esque
designs of Tyranitar much better, but I haven't ever seen 'em cosplayed.

I did a Ninetales gijinka back in November 2012...I don't really have any decent pictures though. Unfortunately the weather was bad as well, it was really windy and rained a lot so my wig got messed up a bit lol. I had all 9 tails, and my kimono also had a flame design on the bottom at the back in that red material I used as trim. I'm planning another one again since I did it as part of a cosplay group, and they want to try it again this year.
Basically, my tips for making a Pokemon gijinka is consider what the personality of the Pokemon seems to be since it can help figure out what kind of outfit they would actually wear.

I could barely find any decent skitty gijinka

I was thinking of going as Giratina one of these days with a military-esque outfit for him.
