Pretty difficult nowadays, based off of my observation of trends.

The "nerd" thing is in right now, so there's more demand for "nerdy" glasses than there is for glasses of any other style. More demand = more production, more production = more availability of that product which = lower prices for that product as well. Less demand for oval glasses = less production = costlier and harder to find.

If we factor in all of these details, we can see that "nerd" glasses, albeit inaccurate, are more convenient for cosplayers. Fear not, though. One day, we will find someone with the passion required to get their hands on a pair of oval glasses. Until that day, it's best to just tolerate it. Have a great day, anon.
