Hey HSG, I'm a super novice seamstress. Trying my hand at a Maid god tier right now, I'm kind of confused as to hemming the little...two-pointed crotch flap thing. I'm worried that hemming it conventionally will wrinkle and look weird since it'll be a lot of stitching in a small space--what should I do? Apologies for such a beginner's answer, I'm just trying to do this right.

I'm looking for good paint and came across Snazaroo's 18 ml classic Light Grey. Is that a good color or is it too light? I was hoping to go with Snazaroo rather than Ben Nye.

That depends on how heavy/light you want them to be. I've been using sculpey oven bake clay for a while now, but that makes for heavy as fuck horns when they're larger than Karkat's.

Basically, use Crayola Model Magic with a foil core. It's the best option.

The base wing color is supposed to be much lighter and more transparent than the markings. The cosplayer has a deep, opaque red as the background and a bright red for the markings. It's literally inverted, or at the very least completely off shade-wise; if they wanted to keep that bright red for the markings, they should have picked a lighter pinkish shade for the base.

The colors themselves on the cosplayer do not look inverted. They just look like wrong transparency. You can tell on the sprite the more transparent markings are a darker red, just more see-through and that makes it appear lighter. That's what it looks like to me anyway.

the 18ml is more than enough. I used the 18ml cake for terezi, so i painted my entire face and both arms and had about 2/3rds left after the con was done. the color is good, too. a lot of cosplayers use the ben nye without lightening it and it's just too dark. the snazaroo can look white if someone uses flash though.

hey guys this isn't totally on topic, but can anyone give me some advice on making a nice-looking tumblr photoset? what dimensions do i need to make the pictures so that they don't stretch or compress?

The suggested maximum width is 1280px. Height can be anything. Just look at that Color of the Sky post.
