Met my current gf at a small convention, and the first time we met in public she showed up in a cosplay and thought it was perfectly normal. She also acted in-character.

I've managed to normalize her beyond that by this point, and thankfully she still loves to cosplay and such at conventions or where approptiate, but MY GOD.
