Actually, more of a foil fencer myself. It's charming to me for some reason and I prefer it since I don't compete much. Saber and epee are pretty great though. Hand thing, well the hand is just relaxed, the shoulder's the hardest part. I think it's to give extra propulsion by launching it behind us or something when we lunge, but hell if I know I just had it drilled into me in foil.

I like the suggestions so far, [c] was pretty good and I think I would love trying out Masakaki. Lavi and that one Mitsurugi seem fun too.

Yeah being too tall is my biggest concern for Asuka since my height isn't something that I can hide. My friend who is thinking about doing Shinji (in his school uniform as well) is 6'1" and skinny so it's not like I'd dwarf my partner if we did this cosplay together.

After that's over, I do plan on starting a Cima cosplay to wear either to Anime Expo 2013 and/or Fanime 2014 . I'd also love to make a plug suite for Asuka for that Fanime as well.

I think you could pull off Vincent from Catherine really well. Plus he is going to be somebody that people will recognize solo (not sure if you are going to be cosplaying in a group). MC/Minato Arisato from Persona 3 looks like it could be a good fit too.

As for mecha suggestions, maybe Kaji from Eva (kinda boring though), Treize Khushrenda from Gundam Wing, and you say that you're better with props so maybe making a mask/helmet for one of the masked characters from UC Gundam (Char and Iron Mask aka Carozzo Ronah).

Very specific question, so no template or whatever. I want to do a couple cosplay with my boyfriend, as we are both World of Warcraft players and really like the game and cosplay. However I am only 1.55 m, and he is 1.90. So for me Night Elves wouldn't really be something I could cosplay, as those are quite tall (Draenei are even worse).
