-Not all the BBYO people gave Katsucon goers heck and thought badly of the con. I was having difficulty opening a bag of food, and one of their leaders helped me out by giving me a pair of scissors to open the bag and a ziplock bag to keep the food in. She also made a light hearted joke that I needed to find somebody dressed as Superman to get the bag open as she'd seen a few and seemed interested in the con.

About the elevator blocking thing: for starters, as far as I know it was only one elevator and it was only blocked off on one floor. I used that elevator with no issues, but it may have been because I was in plain clothes and used the elevator when it was late at night.

Anyone have a picture of that Natsu from SCV? I kept running into her, but in areas that you really couldn't stop and take pictures (in a moving line for autographs, in a super cramped dealer's room, etc.).

Regarding this, I can safely say that after four years being in the Gaylord, the Katsucon Curse has been officially lifted. Despite various threats of the Curse staying and this latest threat from 11-16 year olds Katsucon managed to not to get banned.

Now the real problem now is the organization piece, they've a disorgonized con for various reasons. Oh, and they need to bring back Game Katsu, and it's massive old arcade collection!

What do you expect from a teenage mob mentality? Once I knew there was a youth group, I mentally prepared myself for the subsequent high school behavior. And lo and behold, there were a couple of bad apples in an otherwise alright group (which the same can be said about katsu attendees). Now, there are a lot of rumors being thrown around, rumors that I'm not going to believe unless there is proof. Rumors start out rather hush and once it spreads, people add to the rumor and it becomes this RIDICULOUS and over the top rumor.

Was there harassment? Yes, from both parties. But the weekend is done, let it go. I really wouldn't put it past the BBYO people to threaten to sue for filming them without permission and putting it online and placing the blame on Katsucon since the video description directly names Katsucon.

I'm fairly certain it is illegal in Maryland to record someone at a private event without the express permission of the event to which people are being recorded. In the back of Katsucon badges, it clearly states "The bearer of this badge agrees to allow KEI and it's affiliates to photograph and record (audio and/or video) the bearer while in Katsucon 19 convention space."

I don't know what the BBYO badge said about being recorded/photographed while in BBYO space, but JKid was not a BBYO attendee and was in BBYO space which is a private event, thus potentially making it illegal to record people.

I really didn't have any problems with any of the members of the other convention.
Were some rude? Yeah. Were some connies rude? yeah. The worst I had was a pair of girls ducked under my wings, and one girl ran her hand along them. I mostly got compliments from normies. If anything, I thought it was adorable that a bunch of the guys were fangirling over different /co/ costumes and the bumblebee
The most drama I has was between friends and a girl cutting me in "line" for the gazebo, then asking me to get out of her shot. Which then resulted in a trip to the Awakening, which resulted in the wind snapping my wings pretty much in half (pics related)
I wish I had made it to more panels and gotten more pictures, but I just couldn't find the time.
All in all I think I had fun, though, despite a rough ending and no more than 6 hours of sleep each night. People liked my Mrs Toad and Castiel, and surprisingly Conchita-monster-mouth-dress was still a hit, so the con wasn't a total flop for me.

Well he would have been escorted out by security if one of them had asked him to stop. That's kinda the problem. The director of the con needs to work on that for their next event if they don't want situations like this to pop up. 2 conventions at once is hard, but with the right rules all set in place and with everyone aware of them and people to enforce them, they can be run smoother.

But here was the interesting thing: After 20 seconds of following me after I left the main stage of the room where the people were dancing to ensure that I was leaving, he promptly walked back toward the main stage while I was still in the dance party.
