Right now there's two Irish bars we're thinking of near the Pru; they're kind of shitty but they're really big. There's also Cafeteria Boston but it's kind of far away. Can I get some advice? I was really stupid, and didnt plan my horns out well. They are built around thick wire and foil, but now I'm looking at these wondering how the hell I'm to attach them to anything. They are large horns, so glue isnt an option at all.

Why isn't glue an option? I had the same problem with a pair of Eridan horns I made last year. I ended up snipping the wire off and hot-glueing the base of the horns directly onto my headband. Once it went under the wig, it wasn't visible and all was fine.

I think ballgown Roxy's dress isn't all that great. It really could be imporved if she took the time to polish it. The corset is the least impressive part; red stiches showing, lace at the top is glued on? and now looks like it's folding over. Loose threads popping up by her arm pits, and really everywhere. The moon part is just, I don't even know, so much stitching or loose threads showing. And if I remember correctly at the bottom right hand side of this dress there's this odd zig zag stitch that runs parallel to the ground bout 8 inches from the bottom.

For sizing horns, it's useful to sketch out the shape of the horn onto a sheet of paper, cut it out, and hold it against your head and look in a mirror to check the size. Use that paper cutout as a size guide when you're sculpting the actual horns.

Honestly even if they are a little stubby I wouldn't stress too much over it. Sometimes large Terezi horns look a little awkward with the point. It is just how they look with the rest of the cosplay. Also if you have a smaller head they might also be in the right proportion.

What are you guy's opinion on streettier outfits?
I'd like to try something more advanced than typical t shirt and bottoms but nothing super duper detailed.
Unless you have a better recommendation for something in between, I'm all ears.

It depends? The canon hussie sketch of Terezi is what I sized mine off of, and based my assessment of Peachy's on before the post got deleted. But if you go by her sprite and many of her hero-mode sketches (plus the Lexxy drawings from Make Her Pay), then they're much shorter and stubbier, about the same size as Karkat's.

A friend commissioned me (aka paid for my hotel share) to make her Calliope suit for Katsu

How's it hold up to crit? The sleeves/pantlegs aren't hemmed because she's short, and I know she's extremely tiny but there's no way her arms are only 19 in long so I'm doing that in the hotel room, same reason the 69 cufflinks aren't sewn on.

When it comes to contouring, I think people give too much credit to it. It's really hard to find a balance between too much and too little, and it can change a lot in photos depending on who's behind the camera or doing editing.

In bright outdoor photos, it generally gets washed out no matter what you do, and a lot of people tend to blow out photos while editing because they have shit for brains.

I'm planning on cosplaying GT Nepeta and making the costume out of fleece, because I like fleece GTs. The problem is, I could only find suitable colors for the top and hood, while I could not find a good in-between color for the pants. Would it be a huge crime if I made the pants and hood the same color? It's gonna be my last resort, but just wanna know if that's a huge pet peeve or if anyone will even care.

Okay what are the best ways to make my cosplay stand out among others since so many people cosplay Homestuck. I can't do an Ancestor but any other character I'm open to try. I'd like to try to get some good advice and not have a mediocre costume

I'd say if you want to stand out, make sure you know your skill level, and you apply 200% into it, even if it seems something fairly simple.

Try not to cosplay something too over cosplayed. For example, the 800 Daves you see at every con.

Streettier I'd say no to, only because people really seem to have mixed opinions about it.
God Tier would be the way to go.
If you're cute, maybe go for a God Tier Nepeta.
If you can interpret clothing well into real life and styling wigs, go for Kanaya's god tier.

Meenah has multiple god tier outfits, so maybe attempt one of them. That would require wig work and her trident. Jane, Terezi, and any of the Alpha trolls would be good too.
From what I've seen, Jade, Aradia, Vriska, Feferi seem to be more cosplayed in the fandom.

Although the fandom will always love a good Vriska, particularly one with an accurate wig.

Honestly, after quickly eyedropping the hood colour onto the pants (right image is edited), it barely looks any different. If it were for an aspect that has a huge difference in colour scheme, like Life, Void, Mind, Blood, Rage etc. I'd encourage you to find the exact colour, but for Heart I think you could easily fudge it without looking too bad.

This is the revious GT Nepeta anon (the one asking about colors) and was picking through Roxy's GT a little more, and it would seem that rogue is one of the few classes where the pants and hood actually ARE the same color (score for me, and maybe you), while the third color comes into play at the bottom of the pants/tights/whatever and the other details. So that recoloring of Nepeta's GT is actually inaccurate.
I'm hoping this isn't one of those things Hussie will edit later into sprites, because I'm pretty ok with this.
