Hi /cgl/

uh no... only the princesses of Japan (HIME for you, stupid westerner!) can pull off the LOLITUR FASHION.

Also, that is just the prettiest dress I ever did see. Obviously would only work on a sweet Japanese Hime though! GO AWAY LOLCOW!

In all seriousness 'killer boobs' means shit to us. We need measurements of Bust and then Underbust to tell you how bad off you are. Any lolitas with big boobs usually wear some kind of sports bra or binder to avoid a boob loaf in brand or they get custom sized garments...

>> No.6628065

Blouses tend to look better than dresses because dresses will form oddly around your boobs and give you boob loaf. Sometimes you can pull off dresses though, but you should NEVER do anything with lacing up the front like that because your boobs will stretch out and it will look awful.

Yeah that doesn't tell us anything in relation to cup size... we have to have the band size to see how big or small the cup size is (and no, giving us her bra measurement doesn't help either since she's probably fitted incorrectly in the first place). Fully shirred is going to be the way for her to go probably, depending on how small the rest of her body is.

There's a lot of factors to look into.

- Bust measurement
- Underbust measurement. With big boobs, your waist measurement is null and void pretty much. I check to make sure that my underbust size fits within the waist measurement. You want to go a few cm's lower to be on the safe side (about 3cm or 1 inch).
- Cup size is a big consideration too on what can be worn. If your underbust is say, 34" and your bust measurement is 42" you're going to have a hard time finding something that is flattering. (FF size). But you might be able to do skirts and blouses. Custom-sized pieces can work well too from indie brands... especially because blouses available are not really made with large busts in mind.

For the record, I'm a DD (104cm bust, 92 cm underbust) My wardrobe is mostly AP. There's a few tricks you can do to make things look a little more flattering when you have a larger bust, and it's entirely possible to fit into brand. But again, everything is made for tiny cup sizes and small tiny Japanese frames in mind.

>> No.6628118

You can. Just don't go to a brand name website and think "Well, the dress says 108cm so I can totally wear it! Awesome!" I have a friend who does this and keeps being surprised when it gets here and doesn't look good on her. Yeah, it will fit around, but it doesn't look good.
That's because even if the back has elastic shirring, the front of the bodice is still cut for an A-B cup. So it looks weird and doesn't fit right and doesn't come down far enough in the front.
Custom stuff is your friend :)

>> No.6628657

>>6628073
To be honest, I think people with about Bs/Cs look better in these kinds of dresses. Too small looks simply strange, too big looks lewd.

I'd just recommend binders.

lolololol yeah if she wants to look like some bar wench. Underbust stuff like that tends to make boobs look bigger rather than smaller.

>> No.6628972

Would big boobs look weird in lolita?

>> No.6629127

>>6628972
As stated, no.

Better response:
- Depends on the style, cut, your cup size.

A babydoll dress on an F cup would look unflattering even if it stretches around to fit (and there's room to spare so it's not overstretched, quite possible even with smaller measurements). But something with a longer bodice, or going with a blouse/skirt combo would look much better. But if it happens to be something you really love, you can wear a belt with it or use a cardigan/bolero to lengthen the look. There are things you can do when you have big boobies.

>> No.6629134

It depends.

Do you mean big boobs as in "I am a cute girl who happens to have big boobs"? or big boobs as in "I am fat and as a consequence my boobs are also fat"?

If the former, it should be fine. If the latter, do not ever attempt lolita. It isn't for you.

This is the real question. There are definitely ways for bigger-busted girls to pull off Lolita if they are generally slim elsewhere, like minimizer bras, tailored blouses, certain cuts for JSKs, etc. If she has a 47" bust because she's fat, well, that takes a lot more work. Fat girls can really only pull off Lolita if they have a cute face and an hourglass figure, IMO.

Ok, I have the same difference (between bust and underbust) except I'm 36/30. You do need a sports bra... and make sure it's the kind that seperates, not the kind that just gives you an instant boob loaf. This bodice is still going to look bad on you... any bodice that divides the bust area up like that is going to look strange. Yes your bust will fit, especially with the sports bra... but the extra flesh is just redistributed, it's still there in the bust, just moved and smushed around.

It's actually the other way around. The problem with being large chested is that you stick out on top more than at the bottom. except you are wearing a dress that poofs out at the bottom, so it's going to balance out anything on top, unless you have something insane like a 40 inch bust dropping to a 23 inch waist or something... no matter how big the skirt, that will look insane. I've seen big boobed skinny girls that don't make it work because they are not properly supporting/binding their bust, not because they happen to be skinny with big boobs.

>> No.6629765

>>6629759

But the thing is that a lot of these dress designs were based of ones designed for richer and therefore larger girls/women. You won't really notice a belly much under a floofy skirt, but if you've too little of a one compared to big boobs you'll notice where it goes in in the mid section.

Think of a lot of lolita ad kind of smoothing or averaging out your body shape a bit. It's about proportions, not overall weight, which is why that girl looks fine in Lolita. A lot of larger lolita just wear badly made clothes.

So I don't know if this helps with OP's question... or if I pull it off or what. My measurements are 36 bust, 30 underbust. The two top pictures are without a sports bra or minimizer. And the bottom two are with one. For reference on sizing, the top left is a custom taobao jsk, the top right is a size 'L' taobao jsk. The bottom left is a size 'L' and the bottom right is a size 'M'. Personally I think the bottom set (with sports bra) look the best. So if you consider me large busted with those measurements then I think it works Ok if you are willing to redistribute the breast tissue. Or layer to cover up anything weird. I'm sorry I don't have brand pictures to show for reference since those would be more standard sizes, I just don't have any good bust pictures in my brand jsks. Obviously this is personal opinion if you think it works or not. But maybe this helps? if you want the jsk sizes I can dig them up.

>> No.6629816

I'm a 36-26 classic, and I've never had an issue with OPs. Sometimes stuffing yourself under a house and jsk can get a bit sausage-y, or at least feel uncomfortable. Having a few custom blouses makes life a ton easier, as girls like us can generally rock the skirts. Obviously avoid the cuts that don't even work for regular dresses -- babydolls and salopettes are probably a no go. And as others have said, under busts will make you look like an Oktoberfest waitress. But I've found JetJ to be an extremely comfortable fit and frankly, I think MM would look odd on me if my tits were much smaller.

I really don't recommend binding. You have a nice shape, just dress appropriately. Binding and sports bras just make your tits look flat, not small.

The problem is that most lolita dresses aren't really cut for more than, say, 8-10" between bust/waist (e.g. standard AP fixed-size sizing seems to be 88 bust/68 waist, MM sizing is 88 bust/66 waist, Innocent World and Baby have approx 20cm or 8" between bust-waist even with the shirring) and certainly not more than 5-6" between bust/underbust as most are cut for around the standard B cup, which in most standard sizing charts is around a 5" difference between bust and underbust. Not to mention that the front of the dress will be lacking in the extra length required to curve over a larger bust/smaller waist. Japanese brands cater for chubby/fat Japanese chicks with their larger sizing, not large boobs, so they only assume a width-wise increase overall rather than proportion difference. If, like one of my friends, you have a big bust - for reference, hers is 10" difference between bust/underbust, with her waist being slightly smaller than her underbust, a dress cut in that fashion is not going to look right on you. They tend to ride up at the front and not curve enough to accommodate the boobs giving you boobloaf even if you can fit the measurements. Full shirring actually seems to accommodate the large bust/small waist problem well - despite everyone bagging on it for making people look fat, if you have that large bust/waist differential it's quite form-fitting and flattering.

Big breasted....hmmm I would say no.

The lolita silhouette is a young one and young women have smaller boobs.
When you start pairing up lace, frills, and large tatas it looks like ageplay even if you do coordinate right.

Supposedly most people in the US (on average) are wearing a 36 band size, which means there's a lot of people wearing over that as well. And granted, yes, there's a lot of overweight people. But I'd guess that a lot of people are wearing 36, 38, or 40DD when they would actually be much smaller bad sizes and much larger cup sizes if they were fitted correctly. Ok, seriously busty loli chiming in here (Bust 100; Underbust 74) It can be done but you have to be super careful about cuts. If you can get a hold of a dress with both shirring and well done darts GRAB IT. That combination is going to be your best friend. Also avoid anything that a seam across the bust. No matter how well the rest of the dress fits that bit is going to cut across your breasts in the worst way. If you have even a slightly long torso try to look for things with low waists they will conform to your natural waist best. As others have said avoid empire waists, they will likely make you look pregnant no matter how flat your stomach is. Also be aware that things with a higher waist can turn in to empire waists really quickly on you. Another thing to avoid is a lot of ruffles or fluff on the front of your blouses/dresses. It will make you look top heavy really quick.

DD isn't really big in the US, it's just slightly above average. In my opinion, if you go to stores and find a bra your size on a regular basis, you are not big. You are average enough for average store to cater to you.

Of, course, this also means 22W is an average size... Ew.

I guess people think it's big because it's one of the biggest sizes that many lingerie shops carry. If all they ever see is sizes ranging from A to DD, then someone who doesn't have large breasts themselves may get the impression that DD is the biggest existing size. And because it often is the biggest size available many women who should be wearing bigger cups end up going for the DD, strengthening the misconception that size DD is for gigantic breasts.

Also "DD" kind of looks like a pair of boobies, hurhurhur. Boobies!

I just meant it generically, the big tits/small waist combo.

The picture of all the "D" and "DD" girls is obviously wrong. The 32dd is bigger than the 36dd; the 34d in the red bra is obviously a smaller size than either of the 34ds around her; the 34dd on the bottom is much larger than the 34dd towards the top; I could go on. The picture seems extremely questionable.

Maybe you can stick with high waist cuts and fully shirred items. Those will fit your large, juicy breasts

Not sure if this has been said yet, but have you tried a tailor? I don't wear lolita, but I buy dresses that fit my boobs and then get them tailored to fit my waist. Would that work?

No, that is the point of the picture... cup sizes look different in comparison to different band sizes (also different boobs have different mass in different places...)... the one of the bottom right is wearing a push up bra, which is the reason they look a lot bigger fyi.

it's like you didn't read my post at all tho ;_;

small bands should look smaller than big bands; cups of the same size and band should look the same. and these aren't small differences, they're at least a full cup of difference
