Some people that put tattoos on their stomachs or thighs kind of make me cringe. I would be worried about getting fat and making it stretch. More credit to you but mine is on my hip (soon to be plural) and mid back (soon to be upper back as well.

Maybe it's my fear of being a fat old lady with tattoos that have stretched and faded but more power to those who do it.

Different anon, but it probably depends on where said person holds their fat. I gain and lose weight most quickly on my hips, so to me that sounds like the worst place to have a tattoo. My back, however, has never really had more than a tiny layer of fat, so if I were to get a tattoo somewhere I thought was less-likely to stretch, that and the should would be my best bets. Obviously no place on your body stays the same forever, but depending on where you hold your fat, some places are more likely to develop more stretched skin (and thus, tattoos) than others. The comment wasn't necessarily well thought out, but that doesn't make them dumb. It sounds like you're just being presumptuous and needlessly hostile instead of actually trying to understand their rationale (intelligent or not).

The majority of tattoos in this thread are pretty bad looking and I seriously hope anyone planning on getting an anime or video-game tattoo thinks it over. It'd be a shame to permanently mark yourself with a mediocre illustration for something you'll only obsess over for a couple years at most.

I think your idea would be neat if you could find an artist to draw up a design that would look good in the way you want. I don't think I've actually seen an ouroboros tattoo that's actually going around anything, only the flat ones like the one I want.
