Noriko was literally picking up random rats and keeping them with her, and would attempt to make little statues with their bodies when (not even "if") they died. Think of those southern deer-vagina things, but even worse because she full-on didn't know what she was doing. She tried to take care of them when they were alive, but she can't babysit anything. That incident wasn't even the tip of the iceberg, according to both her parents (who initially thought she'd gotten rid of them when she was actually keeping them at JR's house all this time) .

iPhones don't flip.

He never mentions that his phone was broken or that he had to replace it. And if he did replace it, it would have had to have been replaced within four days. Given that the day after the incident, his parents grounded him, I doubt buying him an iPhone would have been top priority.

And secondly, why are certain parts of the screencap warped while others are perfectly fine. I have a model of iPhone that was available during 2010, and it takes perfectly crisp screenshots. Best of all, it looks wonky around the date and carrier areas, which are the two parts the poster would likely need to change in order to make it match the story.

There's a possibility that Matt got the new phone after receiving the text, but he wouldn't have gotten that super old text onto his phone, even if he'd kept it, that's not how they work.

Imagine if every time you switched phones, every text message you'd ever received was forwarded to the new phone, regardless of how old it was.
