Hey, seagulls. A few months ago I decided to rebuild my whole wardrobe in black, grey, and red. Now I'm beginning to realize that while everything matches I've kind of closed myself off from all other colors and it makes me sad. What poor fashion choices have you made recently?

>> No.6607073

At least you can add more accent colours! mine has been buying stuff because it looks good on others with similar body types rather than suiting me or my style, I ended up buying entire outfits I didn't feel quite right wearing

>> No.6607082

Maybe you could add navy blue? That goes well with black and red at least.

>>6607082
Some green managed to survive the purge. And like...one blue piece. But, I'm probably going to end up selling it since there are things I like much better.

I'm glad that it's a fixable problem. But, it's going to be expensive fixing it, which makes me sad.

>bought a bunch of cute new heels
>toss out/gift to friends/donate old shoes
>start suffering indescribable pain in left foot and leg through knee
>think something's broken
>get x-rays
>"Okay, anon! You have floating bones in your feet as well as a flattened arch. You need to stop wearing heels and start wearing these inserts."
>have to buy all new shoes all over again
>flats forever making my legs look stumpy

So I guess less a poor fashion choice and more a poor forced fashion situation. I hate my genes.

Nothing except spending all my money on Axes Femme and now having a wardrobe that is at least 50% Axes and a very sad credit card.

I keep buying blouses in colors I don't need. I have like 3 pretty white blouses but I need a black and a burgundy one.I also prefer boleros but I keep buying blouses for some reason. I need to stop that.

What kinds of stretches? I can't even go a night in heels any more. I recently went out with friends in a pair of boots that used to be my comfiest pair (one of the few I didn't give away in the purges; 3" high, nice wide heel heel) and had to do the drunk-girl-stumble home, just because of the pain they caused me after a couple of hours.

Just bought another expensive salopette even though I had bought/regretted/sold a salopette in the EXACT shape a year or two ago.

>37in bust
>buttons exactly over nipples
>sideboob everywhere

Thankfully I'm skinny enough everywhere else but my boobs just never shrink.

I'm not talking massive heels here. Anything with more lift than a pair of tea parties ends up causing my left foot to swell up and look like a fucking sausage.

I don't have the floating bone, just a flattened arch + plantar fascitis, so I do these two:
http://firstaid.webmd.com/calf-strch
http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exerce/towel-stretch

I've basically been wearing heels since before I was 10, my feet are jacked, but for some reason it never affected me before this year. Shit sucks bro.

I just like the look of shoes that have heels, I don't like them because they have heels, if you can dig that

Thanks for that, I'll give them a go. Technically, the bone islands/floating bones aren't supposed to affect anything, but with the flattening of the arch, they're getting pinched or something. I asked about whether having them removed would help and he just kind of shrugged it off.

>> No.6608324

I have the opposite problem. I love jackets/boleros/coats and my attitude to them is that I need the perfect one for every outfit....

>> No.6608326

Don't get them removed, any kind of foot surgery is pretty risky if you can fix it with stretching/strengthening first.

If the podiatrist thinks they're livable, they're livable. Of course, they'll never give you the OK for heels, because heels are legit awful for your feet, like a regular doctor would never give you the OK for smoking. But for me, I've been able to work myself up, and I was pretty much like you -- where even my comfiest boots were hobbling clogs -- so I don't think it's impossible.

Also, "I have bone islands" sounds fucking metal, I'd probably keep them around just for that.

Good to know. I'll give the stretching a chance and see how it goes over time.

I keep buying casual AP pieces. Salopettes, mini skirts, parkas, cutsews and so many socks. I have about 10 salopettes now and I don't wear them for lolita. I'm pretty tall so I feel weird wearing them as lolita but they're so damn cute. I wear classic and my wardrobe is mostly dark colors like black and burgundy. It's been eating into my funds. And none of that shit matches! I'm practically wearing it as regular street clothes.

I might try these too. I've never been able to wear heels. Not even the little ones. Wardrobe full of flats and flatforms.

Ugh, I know that feel. I've bought and sold half-a-dozen button-down blouses because of my stupid boobs. Even when the measurements *should* fit, they end up gapping because I'm a DD cup and lolita blouses just aren't cut to accommodate them.

OP, I know that feel. I initially fell in love with the fashion for the gothic aesthetics, but over the years somehow ended up with a lot of black sweet prints and a ton of rainbow accessories to match. Wardrobe ended up a bit too sweet and I got tired of it and have been selling it off for more gothic stuff. I love my wardrobe so much more now, but finding things to match is a much different process, based on textures and incorporating colors without looking like a mess rather than kawaii rainbow explosion. (Seriously, making an all AP outfit is cake.) I miss the closet full of AP and Meta, but I saved a good amount of pieces that I still love from them, so it's not so bad. It's just the overwhelming task of replacing shoes and bags that I have to deal with now. Ugh.

Aw, then maybe cutsews should work better?

I was worrying that I could be too old for the pink Dream Sky JSK I just bought and feeling bad about myself because I'm nearly 23.
Thanks to you I'm feeling better and will wear that JSK to a meetup.

Most cutsews I see are listed as having very small chest measurements, and at this point I'm hesitant to buy them blind. I've just been keeping an eye out for loliable blouses in stores that I can actually try on.

>>6608902
tfw: all these girls talking about / worrying about being to old for sweet and you're 30+ and wearing it without any difficulties.

While classic is very beautiful, I wear my lolita stuff mostly for conventions and meetups. That's when I feel more like expressing a certain part of myself, and I have no qualms with dressing in pastel colors and cute motifs. I suppose if I were an everyday lolita, I would have a lot more classic or gothic pieces. While I love all styles, I find myself enjoying sweet a lot more. I suppose this might change when I start looking closer to my age, but I may not even be into Lolita then, so who knows.

If you like something, wear it. End of story.

DD cup here. I have the same problem, and like another anon I end up buying a ton of blouses and then re-selling a lot of them. I found that F+F custom measurements are a godsend here, that and square necklines.

Granted, my boobs are very spread out and not very protrusive. So we might have very different problems.
