Well you can see on her ref pic that they filled out her own eye brows, therefore you should to. But make sure it's not too dark, they fade them so they look softer. For contouring, just take some bronzer and dust the sides of your nose, then blend it so it's not so obvious. You might want to add some on your cheekbones too to bring them up a bit. Then defiantly work on the wig a bit, by looking up some tutorials on youtube. Might also want to make more of a cat eye with your eyeliner to sharpen your eyes. IMO.

I keep being told to cosplay Merida; I'm pale, grey-eyed, with curly red hair and a very round face and I'm Scottish. I don't really think there's much resemblance besides the above, though. Facially, I don't look anything like her. I think people just sort of go "omg ginger Scottish girl you ARE MERIDA IRL"

That's why it's good if you can get to a lingerie shop that sells large cup sizes with small-large band sizes. I took some photos of some, so i know for Freya bras I'm a 30D, and in some other brand(sexy kate? fuck I always forget) I'm a 28DD

To help against looking aged, make sure you cover any bags under your eyes. Use contouring and highlight to lift your face up (brighten under the eyes, your T-zone, etc.). Stick to non-dramatic makeup, but use eyeshadow to lift your eyes up. If you do have any wrinkles (I can't tell from the pictures posted), make sure you don't get too much foundation in them, as they'll crease and age you. When applying blush, make sure you're not doing the old trick of smiling and applying to the apples of your cheeks. That ages you. Apply to your cheekbones (you can find them by placing your thumb right above your ear, pointing with your index finger, and positioning that under your nose. That cross section should be where your cheekbones are. Take blush and sweep it up along your cheekbones, slightly under your temples.

i understand what the other anons mean. unfortunately you just have an older-looking face, but there are ways of avoiding that.
conceal your dark circles by tips listed above, dress your age/body type, eat well (not just to lose weight but eating well also makes you look healthier in the face).

also, maybe avoid lining your bottom eyelid with black eyeliner. it tends to make people look older and it looks even worse if it smudges. try lining your top lid only. your eyes are quite circular, so wing the eyeliner out a bit at the end (upwards, not downwards!) to make them look wider.

i would suggest getting your eyebrows waxed as well. if you pluck them, avoid it for awhile, so the professional can create a nice shape for your face.
you should wear a lipgloss/lipstick that suits you. it would really bring some color to your face and make your mouth look more noticeable/less invisible. you should ask other people what would look nice with your skintone.

try wearing a bit of bronzer if you like, if not just apply some blush. it gives you a young, healthy glow if applied properly.

Opposite opinion. The way she acts makes me assume she's still in her teens-early twenties without anyone to teach her. Either way, with the right makeup tutorials, wigs, dance tights and corsets, she'd look fine if not pretty. I've seen way worse transform into the impossible with the right studies. Anyways, I'm getting a little tired of how this spun from possible new cosplay character/face to a costume I'm not even planning on wearing this year. I do want to take in the make up tips for the normal day/hang outs/dress up days, but going off topic of thread generally makes me nervous.
