The naming was really shitty but the best part of all the dramu was that the event wasn't even part of Bostonstuck. Aaaah oh man I really like this! Its hard finding a PS cosplayer, never mind the candy corn vampire. Its probably strange to note this but I like the hair quite a bit. Lots of people half-ass that sort of thing but its styled very nicely to the character.

I think my only criticism off the top of my head is that I wish their eyebrows were more drawn in but I can forgive that kind of thing since it kinda matches the lips nicely.

Hello. This is that trickster!Davesprite cosplayer from that other post speaking.

So, a friend of mine who actively frequents 4Chan called my attention yesterday to a photo of mine being posted here and how it stirred a few comments. Out of sheer curiosity, I came to check.

Comments weren't as bad as he was painting them, and, well, if I terrifying then I got the point across because tricksters are meant to be scary as fuck. As for the use of a zentai, I really wasn't looking forward to paint my entire body purple + I wanted him to b shirtless, which i an't simply pull off because, wow, surprise, I'm a girl. Can't just prance around shirtless around a con.

I am not really worried or offended by the comments, but one thing has been bothering me on a curiosity sense:

The anon who said they "unfortunately" knew me. If you are there, I would really like to know what's so unfortunate about knowing me. How exactly do I spite you so much? Because I'm pretty sure I didn't do anything for someone to have such a negative opinion about me.

I think it probably depends where you buy it from. There's a high chance the wig shown isn't the wig I got, but I honestly don't have issues with it. I'm Asian so I have relatively dark hair, but I've never had problems with it being too thin for me. Also excuse me for the shitty iphone quality photo and unstyled wig for the most part since this is just a picture I quickly took when I was making Militarystuck!Rose.

Honestly, I really like my wig, but it is a bit thin in the back. I don't think I had an issue when I wore it to ALA with my Fancy Dreamer Dave costume though. But I'm one input in probably a sea of many more.

To be honest, the one thing you don't do here is come up with the attitude of, "I'm THAT cosplayer you were talking about." It gives off a mightier than thy attitue.

Now about your costume, your makeup was very clean and nice. The suit WAS shiny, and I see other peoples grief about it, but I personally didn't mind it.
Perhaps a tight fitting t-shirt in the same color would work, if you're going to follow the advice of the others.
If you're going to post again like that, don't make it so obvious baby. Be subtle, you'll only hurt yourself if you don't.

even if it's as simple as two dark streaks under the cheekbones, i just want evidence that people know they should contour! ive seen far too many cosplayers who would benefit greatly from defining their jaws--it improves so many pictures where you otherwise would have looked weak-chinned. some noses need it too--careful highlighting can cut down on beakiness, and wide noses won't look flat or nubby if carefully outlined.

i would figure some people are afraid to contour because they don't want to risk looking too dark, but ive also noticed a lot of girls who wear such a light grey they look almost white in pictures. it looks a generic kind of good because it's very opaque, but it also completely washes out their features and makes me assume they have incredibly bland faces. the wide variety of characters and headcanons in homestuck seems like a good avenue for highlighting unconventional attractiveness--if anything i don't know why we don't have people going overboard with contouring, trying to change their entire face shape to be more headcanon.

No. It has not. Even the art is enraging me. Of the pile I found, maybe 3 of them were drawn with any semblance of muscle which is just missing the point entirely. Not yet. I've been plotting the costume itself while getting back on the weights so I can actually do a decently impressive flex in photos.
The basic plan thus far is a wide strapped tank (might spring for the sort you use at the gym and will be appliqueing the Sag symbol on), shorts in the same style but brought up to around mid thigh ; I already have tights with the vertical stripes in a good opacity. What's the best way to keep lipstick from sticking to fangs? I have this really pigmented black shade for Kanaya but it keeps smearing all over my teeth and fangs, even with neat and careful application.
