Such a case would be incredibly rare, and the far safer, much more often much more beneficial thing to try first would be proper diet, exercise, and posture. Plastic surgery will only fix the load on your back, not your necessarily your habits when sitting or the general excess fat and lack of muscle such a person would have.

If someone takes the plastic surgery for a reduction without earnestly working out (read: weightlifting, not 2 hours of light cardio) and diet (read: eating right, not eating nothing then binging), then they're taking the lazy way out that has less benefits.

Pretty much, unless it's something really minor or you're under 18 or so and your body is still capable of really fast recovery they suggest that you try exercise alternatives if the problem has the potential to be solved by such. I have family members who have both had, and decided against, breast reduction. Honestly the one that decided against it and just got healthier was better off. Also the chance that problems related to having large breasts *can't* be solved by exercise and diet are really small, nearly all women go down in breast size, cup size specifically (band size may increase due to muscle gain), from working out and eating right.

It's really not as rare and you guys are making it out to be. As someone who is currently in the consulting process with their doctor. I am not overweight and not unfit. I've been an athlete all my life. The only time my breasts were small was when I was 120 pounds at 5'8, which was dangerously underweight (it was due to some meds I was taking at the time) for me.

You guys are right in saying that doctors recommend getting into shape before plastic surgery. I am currently on a strict diet and am doing S.S. (I haven't consistently lifted in a while) and doing yoga for flexibility. I am very young, so normally doing plastic surgery would't be reccomended but I am getting many fibrostic tumors removed which will change the shape and size of my breasts causing thnem to be very un-even and possibly left with dents so this isn't a purely cosmetic procedure in my case. I've never heard of anyone regretting a breast reduction (this is why my doctor told me) but many who regret implants, so I think I'll be okay. I do wonder if I'll miss them, but as soon as I put on clothing (the breasts push out all of my clothing that's not skin tight so no one can even see the body I put so much hard work into anyway which sucks) I'm reaffirmed. I only look good naked, which seriously sucks ass. I have to get every thing I buy 2 sizes larger and tailor it every time.

How many of you get a lot of tap from overweight friends? There are always a few of my heftier friends trying to compair their bust to mine. One in particular got mad when we were shopping. I was having a hard time finding a strapless bra in my size. She told me "You're looking in the wrong section, these are all over a C cup." I told her I was needing a 30 DDD. She freaked out and started telling me about how small girls always measure themselves wrong, and how they just looked bigger because I had a smaller waist. I mean, she was livid about it, like it was her mission from god to prove that I was wrong about my chest. I dragged her into the changing room with me after she'd calmed down, telling her I needed an opinion on something real fast. I very discretely showed her that I was wear two layers of tight sports bras and a binder. She apologized, and said "okay. . How big are they without all of that?" She went out, I put my shirt back on with just a normal bra. She now pesters me about thinking I'm going to cut off my circulation and die, but at least she believes me. There are plenty of other girls that still talk shit, though. Everyone seems to think I stuff my bra when I'm not binding. I kind of have to, though. If I don't, it kills my back. I don't exactly want people seeing how big they are, either. I have social phobias, and I really don't even like talking about it in any place where I can't be annonymous.

Nah, I have this same issue. With big boobs most shirts drape far off your front and make your midsection look huge. It's also hard to wear cute, tight shirts without looking slutty... so you'll end up in baggy blouses that make you look 40lbs heavier. If you have hips and an ass this makes you look even dowdier.
