Some truly great Legend of Dragoon cosplays. But then again thats what I want to be cosplayed always.

I get the feeling the manga/anime just aren't something that are going to appeal to the majority of teenagers that tend to shit up fandoms.

I'm pretty sure it's the artstyle that does it. The… flamboyancy of it all puts off most casual anime/manga fans, but the characters aren't drawn in a way that's attractive to yaoi hambeasts. Thankfully, the anime has maintained the artstyle from the first two parts, right down to the Big McLargehuge proportions, so I doubt most closet cosplayers will be interested.

I've seen a few people, including myself, start doing Project K. Jojo will probably be big too which I'm happy about as I always wanted to cosplay it. I'm surprised I'm not seeing as many people doing Psycho-Pass though, it seems pretty simple to do.

I might be cosplaying from OP, I just want to make my pulley system somewhat functional and need to lose a little more weight first... all the characters are so gangly.

Dangan Ronpa. I suspect that I'll become more popular when the anime adaptation comes out.

Same here, I see that there's already that Jotaro one at ALA.
I myself am a bodytype where there really isn't a lot I can cosplay from Jojo, but I'd prefer to just admire good ones than do a crappy one I don't suit.

As plain as they'd be, I wouldn't mind seeing some Bisucut Hammer Cospaly. Even though the only character everyone would choose would be Samidere. And I doubt anyone would be willing to do a golem.

What sort of body type do you have? The later parts have a number of characters with less unrealistic body types, or baggy clothes (Josuke, Okuyasu, etc.) that make them easier to pull off.

jojojojojojojo please more JoJo. Even the r63, if you do it well and tastefully and keeping the original character design in mind, it's still more JoJo fans. I am looking forward to how ALA started out with more JoJo cosplayers in one day than the total other than Otakon who I saw that weren't me during 2012. If this continues, I shall be very very happy.

This. I'm a 5'3" average-weight female and I have a closet full of JoJo costumes and most of them aren't overly terrible. After a certain point, it's about piling enough makeup on your face and doing enough tailoring tricks to preserve character proportions.

I've actually got all the fabric and materials and a wig for Anima sitting in my closet but I haven't ever gotten around to making it. I'm stuck on the stupid halo.

....I'm also going to agree with >>6540023 about Dangan Ronpa, and I'm suspecting probably about five or six Maoyu demon lord dresses showing up as a new masquerade option for women who want to make fuckoff huge ballgowns. (New fuckoff huge ballgowns in anime are relatively rare, especially when they come with a pretty design and giant cleavage windows.)

This for sure, a good chunk of the Homestuck fandom seems to be switching to Dangan Ronpa recently, and theres already a decent-sized cosplay group.

A big 30+ cast (counting DR2) with mostly simple school uniforms AND an anime coming up pretty damn quick means potential for a lot of cosplays at cons. Hell, maybe if we're lucky it'll pick up enough to get an official translation for the games.
