Now that I'm finally home, I can post what I wanted.

Con was alright, the obvious "more alcohol than water" statement was still in effect. Gathering was cool despite getting dropped on the ground by Strawberry. Ran around doing too much though so it felt extremely short, but all in all it was worth it.

My main gripe was the fucking homestuckers who thought it would be a smart idea to go into the hot tub with their paint on Saturday night. They closed the hot tub for all of yesterday when people wanted to go in. I mean, use some common fucking sense and wash up before going in.

As someone said before. Commissioned outfits should NOT win competitions... I got to talk to the lady and lord after the judging. The lady hand gathered all the ruffles, each one was seven yards, if I remember right.

She even had matching hose and pantaloons. This lady was a true southern belle, as I'm from Louisiana, I would know. She was wearing a hoop and could float; that's the true mark. The green dress' bodice looks crumpled and I'm not sure what's happening in the skirt.

But hey I'm biased, I follow her on tumblr.

Omg. This armstrong was so perfect. He had dusted some fine glitter onto himself so, you know, he sparkled. I dunno if it was ever caught on photograph but the effect was very subtle and clever in person

Sweet mercy, those are gorgeous. What's the fabric of the dress though? Was it something overlayed with an organza of sorts? The sheen on it is playing tricks with my monitor, so it's hard to tell.

I believe is was some sort of pillow fabric? I can't recall exactly but it was a nice like maroon color with a turquoise ish sheen and darker maroon embroidery on it.
