Hey /cgl/, /v/ here, i asked /fa/ but they sent me here so here i am.

Just a quick question, which of these two should i get for my girlfriend? she's really into makeup stuff and i'm always thinking the bigger the better, but i want to know which of these two is the best.

It looks like literally everything is shimmery in the second one? If she doesn't like shimmer then it might not be great, plus some of the colours look a little garish (who needs that many shades of blue?!). The first has a better selection of neutral tones along with the brighter stuff.

Frankly neither of them are going to be fantastic quality. They make for impressive looking presents though.

This one I tried to buy off of taobao but it came all fucked up so they didn't send me it and just refunded me. :( But it's a good example of how random brand names are just like, slapped on there even though it's really just like, China lol.

If you want to super-duper impress her OP, I say go for quality and not quantity. Buy her a $100 Sephora gift card and offer to go with her to Sephora to help her pick out stuff, or get her two pieces of designer makeup. Like, a YSL eyeshadow and a Dior lipstick. She will appreciate that a lot more than a cheapo palatte.

Not necessarily, I'd quite like the opportunity to try out some new eyeshadow colours. Sometimes I just like to try out new things and play around so it wouldn't matter if these eyeshadows aren't any good.

I wouldn't recommend either. Some people like Coastal Scents, but I've tried their shadows and I didn't like them at all. This one is still in your price range and it's of higher quality:
