I know right, I have minimal sewing skills. I can make simple things, and the sailor suit is definitely outside of my range. I want to buy a premade one, but they're all made with satin. I was thinking about taking it to a local seamstress and seeing if she can make it but I don't know about that

There was a link around Halloween for a pretty decent priced one around $40~$50 that didn't look like complete shit. All you had to do was redo the armroll/hiprolls and the bows and it would have been passable. Being the dumbass I am, I forgot to bookmark it when it was going around /cgl/ and now my buddies want to do a senshi group so I've been looking for it again. I kepe asking in SM and help threads but so far no luck!

I would say yes because NYCC 2011 I met a Sailormoon cosplayer who had bought a fuku one size too large and tailored it down with he moth's help. I wish I had pics of her on this comp, but sadly I don't.

The costumes are good (and they might not pack long wigs nicely?) but getting a custom order is difficult because their English isn't good, so communication of any kind is gonna be pulling teeth.

Oh I also read this review, but I think the girl isn't that intelligent since she didn't notice that the ref image they used is how they constructed it.

I'm looking to make my first fuku and I've already picked up some high performance matte spandex for the leotard but I'm having trouble with the skirt+collar.

I read around and settled on casa satin but I can not find a shade that works for Neptune (god damn Neptune's colors change all the damn time too).

What are some other common materials that folks use for fuku skirts with an extreme color range/dye-ability?

Can I get a source on these girls?
Especially that Moon. I think this is the first uniform I've seen with the correct placement of the hip roll.

I'm a bit confused though, because she did that so well but her boots aren't trimmed and none of the girls have the glove rolls on either. I'd think time worries but those are such quick things to add you'd think they'd take the extra time squeeze them in, even on a harsh deadline.

All I can offer is this tut on how to make a sailor collar, picking the right color for Neptune is difficult. Dark teal is what I have in my mind's eye for some reason (and as long it's a good shade of blue-green that's neither blue or green, it'll read correctly).

In the anime, they really couldn't decide where the waists should be positioned most of the time and no one is really shaped the way Naoko draw women so...
