I'm 5'3" with round eyes and a round-ish face. I'm skinny enough, sure, but I look way too feminine to do a passable and quality cosplay of this guy.

I'm a 5'9 female with broad as fuck shoulders and a contralto singing voice, but I'm too fat. (A size 12.) I've been loosing weight. Weight loss isn't muscle gain though, so it still wouldn't look right. And I'm too awkward and quiet. I'd want to be able to ham it up and really go in character with it, but I'd epically fail.

As for me, I love Panty so much, but I don't have the confidence for her. It's not a body issue, I'm thin and everything, but...Panty is really sexual and I don't know if I could properly act like her. People would probably expect me to do fanservice poses or act slutty and I don't feel comfortable with it. I know I don't technically have to act in-character, but I feel like not doing so would detract from the costume and let people down.

white-washing is kind of a big deal in the media right now, and seeing as there is a limited number of darker characters to cosplay as it is, a lot of people find it a let down if a pale person cosplays a darker character. Even worse if you use make up to look darker because that's pretty much how you go about getting black-face.

I don't completely agree with it, but I do see how it gets talked about.

I still say cosplay who ever you want, I love black versions of my favorite cosplays, and don't mind pale people cosplaying darker people. As long as you put in the EFFORT then people should see past all that.

Caithe from Guild Wars 2. I'm not sure if it's necessary unobtainable but I know for sure it would be difficult as all hell to pull off. I'd need to slim down then learn about prosthetics for the hair/head details. Then go about making the outfit look as though it is really made out of leaves. Maybe years down the road as I learn more and get better at cosplay I can attempt it.

Red from RWBY. Although recently released, I adore her design. It would take a while but I know it would be worth it. All I have to do is grind up enough money to buy all the things I'll need. Other than that I'm good to go.

Either Red or I'd like to be Charlotte from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. But not the cutesy version that you commonly see on Ebay or at conventions, it would be a completely different design that I'll be posting here soon.

I'm not trying to be egotistical, I just want people to have a good time. Problem is I'd have no idea how to go about making a costume like that. No sewing experience, no arsenal of fake weapons and gear, and no money.

Im 5'9" and shes 4'11". Proportion wise, Im not too far off so it wouldnt be awful, but if there was a group it'd be awful.

I don't like to do fair-haired characters because I'm ultra fair but have naturally very dark hair (and I mean everything, like arms and eyebrows, and no, I'm not going to shave either). Even when everything IS covered up, it still just doesn't look right against my complexion no matter what shade of blonde it is, like you can automatically tell anyway I'm naturally dark haired and the blonde looks silly. I've done a few unnatural light colors and it looked ok, but I still don't think I looked like I 'passed' for natural or whatever. So I just don't do fair-haired characters anymore.

That's generally to do with color temperature. If your cool-toned choose hair color shades that cool, etc. Even with white hair you can choose either a warm or cool shade.

Anyone can go blonde. However, not everyone can go the same shade of blonde. True story, people seem to think blonde is one exact hue/shade when it's not.

Generally speaking, if your skin tone is darker, you don't want to try and go platinum(however, I've noticed this can sometimes be balanced out if the person has lighter eyes).

Even if I could make the limbs and mouthmajiggers look right, and Frankenstein a wig, make a proper eyepiece, and achieve the proper body-type, there's still the issue of moving, breathing, seeing, not hurting/damaging/impeding the flow of traffic with the freakishly awkward limbs and not drooling all over the mouthpiece.
Not to mention the huge risk of a wardrobe malfunction and the physical inability to fix it...
Yeah, there's no way this one's gonna happen without looking horrible, or something going horribly wrong.
