if there is something especially showing that you really want to cosplay there are some outlets that let you cosplay what you want. Just make sure that your costume will be alright in advance and you should be fine.

Angela cosplays from H-games if I remember correctly.

People cosplay for Bible Back and Shuffle! all the time and it usually isn't considered a big deal.

I'm not a big H game fan but I adore visual novels, and sometimes the ones i'm interested in have a hentai aspect. So I've cosplayed from two before and don't see any problem with it. Both were really fun games that focused more on the characters and gameplay then the naughty scenes.

I could see cosplaying more in the future but I have some visual novel characters to finish up first.

H-games lack visibility so I think a lot of cosplayers are simply unaware of some great chara designs out there. This usually changes when the game gets adapted into a popular anime like Fate/stay night. It doesn't necessarily have to be a mainstream anime, Bible Black is infamous enough to get cosplayed now and then. Still, many cosplayers only dare to cosplay h-games after the bowdlerized anime version comes out. If shown something from an h-game they'll just wistfully sigh about those games having all the cute designs.

yes if you consider togainu no chi and lucky dog/luckydog1 h-games although they're yaoi and visual novels they are still considered games to a degree. TnC has a very toned down anime compared to the game ( and maybe manga but im not sure) , and lucky dog has a toned down manga. I plan to cosplay from both but I don't really care wether people know they're h games or not.

I've always wanted to do a Princess Waltz cosplay, but I probably never will. I'm fat. I pick costumes that complement me, and H-games tend to feature the sexiest of the sexy, for good reason. And their outfits are usually unforgiving, so anyone without a beautiful body shouldn't do them. That's probably why they aren't common.

I wouldn't consider Mass Effect or Dragon Age to be an erotic game. I mean, yeah, there's sex in it, but it's in no way the purpose of the game. Besides the companionship-building required to do it, it's not really an integral part of the gameplay or the story at all. If you considered that, then you'd also have to include Grand Theft Auto, Fallout, and a whole slew of other games too.

I didn't get that far, because I was playing the demo levels and my PC ate it. If you have a link for a trustworthy download, I'd much appreciate it! Otherwise I have to wait until it comes out on the PS3 or I find a download with a good English patch that doesn't make my ancient desktop cry. But I do like the smaller maps. I'm not a huge tactical RPG person, so giant maps in some of the Fire Emblems and a few of the levels of Disgaea sort of turned me off from them. So the smaller maps and somewhat simplified combat are rather nice.

Giant maps and having to keep track of where everybody is and movement limits and yaddah yaddah just isn't my thing, but I do like turn-based battles. I like tactical stuff okay, but I can't really sit and play it for hours when it's as extensive as Fire Emblem. (Probably why I liked FF Tactics Advanced and A2...I can just close the DS whenever I get bored and resume it later.) So I like ES since the battles tend to be shorter and the maps aren't lolhuge.

I feel so late to this thread but I absolutely love cosplaying from h-games. I play more of them than standard video games.

I've cosplayed Yuno from Unity Yuno, Nodoka from Para-Sol, Rin from FSN, and a few others, and I'm planning on a Fortissimo cosplay or something definitely from Liar-Soft.

I love the character designs and variety you get with h-games, and I am pretty liberal with the concepts in the games. I sometimes however try to reasonably edit parts of a cosplay that might be way too much.

Some eroges have really amazing stories and well thought out routes. They totally can be stories for anyone, the sex doesn't have to always denote of whether it's "males only" or not. A lot of minori's stuff is quite translateable to all genders, and there's all-ages releases that also can open up the field to different audiences if the whole sex part doesn't suit for you.

I've enjoyed eroges plenty for years without using them for sexual needs or sacrificing any ability to have normal relationships with guys in real life. I talk and joke about them, but I see them as a personal interest just like normal people who enthuse about video games.

Depending who you are, porn doesn't always change or corrupt the person. My ideals on sex are ironically opposite, but I can still enjoy liberal stories. There's probably a percentage of girls out there who not only use eroges but games like LoL and WoW to dress in skimpy ass suits to get attention, but that doesn't mean every single girl who likes eroges is a slut or sickening.

You wouldn't call it at a con an H-game, but it IS an H-game. Both its initial limited and regular editions were 18+ and had H-scenes. The subsequent versions are 15+.

Similarly, other games that are well known H-games like Kanon have all-ages versions but I've heard them more well-known called as H-games.

But I wouldn't go around a con telling people it's an H-game because more people associate with it as the anime honestly.

Here I have our Rance and Kenshin cosplays. They have to be fixed, because Rance's wig is not stylized completely yet, and some pieces of armour re-made.
