I don't think I'm nearly as gorgeous as some of the girls in this thread but I'm really pleased with how my wig curls came out. I'd love to fix the outfit up completely and rewear it but my group lost interest in the game so I doubt we'll ever cosplay it together again

I had to think about it and feel the top to jog my memory but I do recall buying it from a different section than the quilters cotton where I normally get broadcloth? I can hardly remember because it's been a year since I've made anything, but I remember needing a different interfacing that I've used on crappy outfits made of broadcloth. The red beltbowthing on the other hand, is probably quilter's cotton. I'm pretty sure I just used what I had laying around for that but like I said I can hardly remember. It feels different from my old cosplays though, which i definitely used the same SYMPHONY BROADCLOTH from Joanns for. But, I know very little about fabric so take this with a grain of salt?

Did you use wefts or cut a long wig for the curls? I might want to make another one since the wefts from Epic Cosplay weren't long enough for the way I wanted to do it.

Here's a photo of my the curl from the left side. The right side got fucked up so if I can't remake the entire thing, then I'm willing to just fix the right pigtail so it looks like this left one.

I still need to layer the bangs correctly, but I'm not exactly sure how. Any tips on how to do it without it looking like 90's anime bangs?

I bought a loose set of hair from amphigory, I think? I just wanted the longest hair possible. All of it was sewn directly into the wig, and then styled. It took hours and hours to do but I didn't them to look clipped in like wefts. It probably wasn't the most effective way of doing things. It's been awhile, and some hair was clipped away, but I think I left about 4 inches of hair on the inside (caulked down so it would stay forever) which I guess would leave about 44 inches for the curls? I didn't need all of it in the end, but anything less than 35 inches probably would have been too short. You could probably buy an extra long wig and use the longest wefts on it, but that'd be expensive.
