Now that I'm actually browsing avantgarde's website, Its pretty disappointing. For all their popularity, there are few tights that are actually well designed among a sea of crap. I mean look at this. I i saw a girl wearing these from far away, it'd look like she's menstruating and its running down her legs.

What are the best materials for tights? I'm looking for Summer and Winter tights. I would generally assume cotton is good for Summer and wool for Winter but I'm not sure how this would translate into tights due to their different materials for elasticity.

(I'm looking for plain white tights and black tights in the UK if anybody has any recommendations as well!)

I got the merino wool crochet tights and they fit like a dream.
Their M socks come up really high too. I like them for their warmth.

Just a heads up.
Bodyline's skeleton tights are terrible.
Fabric is weird, barely fits me and I weight 108lb and my height is 5'2".
Not to mention even after washing them they still smell weird..
Really not the best pair to buy..

I'd say as is now because if the darker color is at the bottom might cause the illusion of really small ankles then a thicker leg as it goes to the top, and when tights are expanded they get "lighter" and might be harder to see the lighter drops if it's expanded more (depends on the size of the person though).

Their basic colours are pretty good (my navy and grey pairs have lasted for months!), but their brighter colours are fucking awful and ladder ASAP. How are you washing them? If you machine wash try using cold water and a cool dry temp.
If you hand wash use cool water and air dry, or just try hand washing them all together.

Also a tip is that cold water gets stains out while warm or hot water seals them in so using cold water is better anyways.

Drip tights sample came in! I ordered the rainbow design because I was mostly worried about how the colors would come out. They came out great. A size 8 is usually the smallest size even stocked by most shops. Sometimes a 6, but never smaller than a 4. I've only ever seen a 4 once.

You must need help or just have no idea about how UK sizes work, a UK size 8 sounds large compared to US sizes but is usually the smallest womens clothes go down to, you will have to shop in specialist stores or the childrens section if you want smaller. A few stores stock size 6 but not many.
A size 8 is considered an 'ideal' in the UK for women and is most definitely a small size.

The problem I have is that when I try to buy size 4 things they're always made for 'petite' people and I'm 5'10" so if I get something that's actually flattering to my figure it's usually far too short.
