This just gave me an idea for a hairstyle, after I read that she left it in for church. You could braid your hair and wrap it around your head (or use one of those fake braid bands), then do what she did, leaving it down in the back. I think I'm going to go attempt this.

I always use the website rasysa to find cool, unique hairstyles in different lengths. I got tired as fuck looking though white hair magazines because they basically show the same 10 hair styles over and over again barely styled differently.

I always do that, lol.

I recently cut my hair off and I regret it plus I'm having difficulty styling it. It's Helena Bonham Carter esque in texture so I've been doing a lot of pulling it up with clips and putting it into twin tails to avoid the triangle afro look... Any other ideas while I grow it back? Also, what are some good sites for hair clips that have a diverse selection (casual, gothic, cute, elegant, etc) and aren't too expensive? I've been just using fabric flowers because that's all I have at the moment.

well, i tried it out yesterday. /anon who posted the pic. please keep in mind that i am not the best at doing hair, and that my hair is a good 5 inches shorter than cheesie's. but i tried, because i really want my hair to look like this! guess i'll keep trying till it looks perfect. anyways, maybe this can help you try to do it too.

1. put hair in two pigtails at the top of your head.
2. lightly mist with hairspray and then back comb the pigtails a little for volume.
3. put each pigtail in a loose bun/loop. secure with hair tie.
4. divide the bun/loop in two, so it looks like a bow.
5. take bobby pins and pin down parts of the bun to your head so it can maintain the vague shape of a bow.
6. lightly mist with hairspray to finish.

i have a pic but i don't wanna post it cause 4chan. and it looks really sloppy.

coconut oil is good. You can even cook with it.

Also jojoba oil is really close to human oils so it's good as well. I like to mix them up with some vitamin e and some shea butter.

But for a lighter oil leave out the shea.

Anybody have tutorials for super curly hair?

>> No.6457553

Does anyone know how to make curls stay on someone that has naturally straight hair? I've alternated between hairsprays, tried using hairspray prior and even tried putting it on a high heat setting. The curls start to flatten within an hour no matter what. It's depressing.

>> No.6457556

>>6457553
I have this awkwardly in-between hair, not super straight. In the past it has always been helpful if, right when I release a curl, I gather it up and wait for it to cool off - if a curl falls while it's still hot the heat is virtually useless. So if you just take your time to let each curl cool off you can avoid redoing a lot and damaging your hair with too much heat.

My hair is pretty soft, and I've heard that could be a reason why it won't hold a curl. Anyone got any tips?
