Wow. So, I'm not the only one who calls him Man-Belle. I play a where's Waldo game with him when going to con's and other events with the MD area. My group sees him everywhere. It's been 2 years since we played the where is man-belle, and it never fails.

I've only had the courage to talk to him once this past Katsu, but he didn't seem haughty when I talked to him. I don't really care what he's like, I get more enjoyment trying to hunt him down at cons.

Tiana and Rapunzel are drowning in their dresses, Belle's bodice isn't even fitted and her wig/hair looks really limp and ratty. Sleeping Beauty looks weirdly lumpy and Cinderella needs to tone down the heavy hooker eyeshadow. Sleeping Beauty is cute, but would look better with some heavier eye make up to make her eyes really pop. Ariel's dress is lovely, but that wig needs some TLC. Jasmine isn't bad, but I personally would love to see more volume in her wig, although Jasmine's wig is always something that's difficult to get spot on so that's more of a personal preference.

These are so pretty. Rapunzel would have looked so much better in green or blue...the dress they went with looks like someone gave a five-year-old some crayons and said "okay, design the princessiest princess dress you can think of!" and then they slapped it on her. Which may be what they were going for with the whole cooped-up young idealist thing, but damn that dress is ugly. It's a shame because Rapunzel is such an awesome Disney Princess.

It doesn't help that Disney just likes to market the hell out of certain dresses on their princesses. I suppose it bugs me a little when all the Rapunzel dolls are literally just her blond version, and the only ones you can find of her as a brunette are her wedding dress version and that's it(and even then, they have wedding versions with the blond hair) I personally wish Disney would bring out a Rapunzel doll with interchangable wigs, so little girls could play with brunette or blond Rapunzel and not just be stuck with the blond version.

There's a whole series of "Twisted Princesses" with stories written up by the designer of what would have happened to the princesses if they hadn't gotten their happily ever after.

Wendy's is that she drowned before Peter could help her but in his attempt to rise her from the ocean he brought her back from the dead. That zapped his happy thoughts and he ended up drowning as well, leaving her to avenge him.

this is the first time I've seen cosplay of it but I never liked it, too, even as a kid. it just feels way, WAY too modern for Ariel. I know Princess dresses aren't really accurate to the time period anyway but at least they usually feel vaguely right.

It's fairly depressing, when you think about it. Peter promises to come back every year to take Wendy to Neverland to help with spring cleaning. The first year, she finds out he doesn't remember Tinker Bell or Captain Hook or anyone from the "Wendy" advetures. The next year, he forgets.He came the third year, but didn't even realize a year had passed. That was the last time he came before she became a woman, got married, and had children. The lost boys and Wendy's brothers grew up to be, well, normal adults--"You see that judge in a wig coming out at the iron door? That used to be Tootles. So basically the Darling girls are doomed to fall in love with Peter and his adventures only to be let down when he doesn't show up for years or forgets them or what they did together, because he's a child and therefore an asshole.
