Hey, it's the anon from last thread that was complaining about taobaoring. Last night I paid for an order and now it's saying it's awaiting first payment again. Does this normally happen? My first order with them was great, I put in my second order a week or so ago and it hasn't been going as smoothly--still not terrible but not excellent. DC also does custom sizing and I have never had a problem with their custom blouses, ever. If you're ordering custom just make sure to be professionally fitted... do not attempt to fit yourself, it will be wrong, no way around it.

I am pretty sure they do custom on any item! What I always do is I send in my measurement chart to my SS and never pick any sizes for any store. At that point your SS will tell you if a store will do custom for that item, or if a particular default size will fit your measurements. Personally for DC I've gotten JSKs, Blouses, Skirts, and a pair of bloomers custom. Or at least for the bloomers I sent in my measurements and never received a reply to pick a default size.

Ah, thanks. I've only ordered non-custom stuff (wigs, shoes) through a shopping service (Taobaonow). Any custom-sized stuff I have was bought through Clobba or Qutieland. I wonder if I can order stuff from Clobba that he doesn't have on his site. I've never heard of people being able to refund things like that... I've been doing taobao orders through a shopping service for years and never had a problem... the mark ups on Clobba and Qutieland are just insane. There are plenty of reputable shopping services to use instead! An age old favorite of mine is Taobaospree, never had a problem with them and a girl in my comm has done dozens of HUGE GOs through them with no issues. The only thing is you have to fill out an excel sheet (it's REALLY simple) which some people think is too difficult I guess? The best way to make sure that everything on your end is perfect is to go get professionally fitted at your closest tailor. Do not attempt to measure yourself, you cannot do it correctly, it is just impossible. As for ordering things through Clobba (like using them as a SS for items they don't have on the site?) no clue, but I assume the markup will still be insane.

Well for Secret Shop there is no other option other than some secondhand sales on taobao (OR there is a rumor you can buy them in bulk for wholesale prices, but I've never found proof of this!) since Clobba buys them all wholesale now from the factory. So they have the stock at their shop/warehouse so they can easily switch out sizes if they have them in stock/right color, I assume. As for weird measurements, the taobao store will usually report something sounding weird and your SS will report it to you :). Check in with the nearest alteration shop, that is what I consider a tailor. Bring them a body chart (just google... sewing body chart, or something along those lines) and tell them the kinds of things you're ordering/show them pictures and tell them how long/short you may prefer your sleeves/skirt and they should take care of you. :)

This is my first Taobao order. It's really tiny but I was kinda worried because I'd never done anything like this before but everything went really well! My only problem was that I didn't read the page for the sweater carefully enough and accidentally ordered the wrong one but it's still cute. The earmuffs seem a little oversized but they're growing on me. That horned hat was my whole reason to make this order and it's absolutely perfect. I've actually been wearing it all night. The stickers have a weird texture, not like normal stickers, kind of rough or thick. I guess it doesn't really matter. If it is bootleg, it's definitely really good quality!

The backpack is awesome, well sewed and the inner fabric is cute also(brown polka dot). got various pockets inside. I wasn't expecting it to be that nice. Well, I'm using Taobaonow (for the last time) and their progress tracking icons on the order screen indicate that the item has left the seller. It's been like this for a good while, and the order/making time took a decent amount of time as well.
They've been slipping up on this order. The same thing happened to a pair of shoe in the order, which happened to magically appear when I began to pressure them about it.

On shipping I did want it to be through China post or something cheaper but I think that because the package was so large (it was a huge ass box) I was charged EMS shipping for about 156USD. Okay, so I recently showed my younger sister taobao, and we spent the night looking through for some cute stuff we want. We're planning to save up what money we get from christmas and birthdays in the next month, and make a big order between us in January.

I also wouldn't order a ton of coats and shoes because shipping will destroy you even more than you're already prepared for. I'm going to say that you should go for it. Its cheap, and acoustics, especially that one probably, aren't that heavy, so the shipping would probably equal out to less than a cheap guitar (unless its a kids guitar) in the USA.

Now my only concern is that you might be able to find a higher rated shop to suit your needs. So I would just shop around until you hit a crown rated shop so you can compare before you buy.

I posted in the last thread that I ordered http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=17081208134 and a bunch of other stuff through TBR, and when I got the pictures and shipping quote I asked them if it was correct and they said yes.
However, today they emailed me and were all "oh sorry, the items you ordered are still in our office, we actually sent you the wrong thing, can you send it back?"
They've offered to pay for both the shipping, but it's still saddening

That really sucks. Honestly, it sounds like the quality of taobaoring is decreasing, maybe after their 11.11 holiday or maybe we have sent a shit ton of cgl-ers/friends there after posting about them so much? Sounds silly since we are all probably a very small percentage of their customers but just earlier this year, NO ONE was using them. I used to have no complaints but me and 3 other people I know are having a shit time with taobaoring. I probably won't be using them again... but hey, maybe I'm just having bad luck.

I think you're right? First couple orders, I had no problems, but soon after, things started going downhill. I bought this dress a while ago in M size, and while it says the bust is 88cm, I can barely get it to zip up on my 84cm bust. Is this a fluke with this particular dress, or is Infanta's sizing just weird in general? I have another dress from them and it was a bit loose, and it's the same size (though it was a "winter dress" if that makes a difference).
