The thing I really like about these plugsuits are the feet/shoes. Most of the made plugsuit feet look fucking derp. But these ones look shoe-like and it really works.

the problem with latex is that it tends to squish the breasts and ass

of course the main problem is that an 100% accurate plugsuit is impossible because in the show it behaves really strangely (the inflating to fit for example)

>> No.6412023

>>6412006
>(the inflating to fit for example)

Actually in the show it vacuums the air out of the suit via a button on the wrist cuff to make it skintight... which seems like it would be possible in the real world with the newer test type plug suit, you could hide suction hoses under the yellow lines and green button things.

Also, many people tend to treat it as either spandex base with armor on top or a flat suit, when it's not. It's a rubbery material that stretches to form fit with some built in texture elements like the wrist cuffs, the body sensors, life support battery pack(?) on the backs, etc.

Hmm, you COULD actually do that, you'd need airtight seals on the seams and on the neck and such. And frankly, if you're going though that much effort, just acknowledge that you're trying to scatchbuild a wetsuit and enjoy materials that are an absolute bitch to work with.

There's an ebay seller that looks like they make decent latex plugsuits. They're all one piece though, and no attatched shoes. Aqualatex is the seller name

I'm actually debating ordering a couple of these to see how the quality is, and how easily they can be modified. With some basic modifications from the seller, and some basic modification (gluing the "3D" parts on), you should be able to have a pretty kick-ass plug-suit for not a heavy price-tag.

I'd love to see one of the real pro female cosplayers try to tackle a Eva plugsuit with a real costume budget. I'm talking about cast/vaccum formed armor integrated into a stretch vinyl/latex plugsuit.

I know there are a few cosplayers that have really come close (Eva twins, etc.) I just think there is still a little room for improvement.

Yeah, I've contacted them and they're willing to do whatever modifications for the same price they're advertising. I just need to drag the art into Photoshop cause from past experiences, they'll do EXACTLY when you send them (which can be good or bad). Plus the 400 price is do-able, but Christmas is coming and shit so...hopefully I can get the order in here soon. I'll try to post it around whenever I do get them in.

Also, if anyone does have a source on where Ushijima gets hers, I'd love to know...

There are several cosplayers who could make an Eva plugsuit. However I can only think of a few that could make and pull it off.

Rufflebutt, Riddle, Precious, and Zal

There are probably a lot more than that but it's late.

Doesn't Precious have some sort of a gig where she is getting paid to make costumes of her choosing? She should make one considering the amount of casting she does.

For those interested, here's a shop that sells plugsuit themed latex catsuits. You'd have to make the 3d elements yourself, but it's a great starting point, and you can get it made to fit your exact measurements.

$7000 just simply isn't reasonable.
The construction looks nice.
The design looks nice.
But a latex suit with a few inserts and textures just isn't worth it.

But I suppose the person who has $7000 to blow on something like that in the first place probably wouldn't care.
