College is everybody's best years of their lives. Most students are there because they want to. They don't automatically pass with a D unlike the low quality highschool system. Starting life but not so bogged down by family obligations.

i was even bigger, and rather socially dumb when i was in high school. i dress both nicer and cuter now than i did then, and i learned how to put on make up. i've still got a bunch of sexual taboos. and i'd rather be my age now than be that young again. now i can legally buy alcohol and cigars, there's no curfew, and i can pretty much do whatever without my parents telling me i can't.

Being a teenager was fun enough the first time around, I look back to those time with joy in my heart, but I wouldn't want to be a teen again. Life goes on and my life has been more exciting since I've become 'an adult'.

me too. maybe i've been following that too closely.
and maybe high school was shitty for me because it was a very high pressure environment, being a college prep school, and my parents were extremely controlling. at the same time i had zero interest in actually learning anything.
i'm 27 now. I have a car and a job. I've got a college degree, but I want to pursue more schooling. I have much better skin, and I've managed to grow boobs. I've had the opportunity to travel, and may be able to even move to a different country now. I have a wonderful boyfriend. I'm able to choose what I wear, watch, read, and listen to. I had none of this when I was a teenager. I still feel like I can't dress myself especially well, don't really know how to socialise, and am trying too hard to catch up on the '90s/early 2000s because culturally I almost completely missed out on it, and my friends reference that time a lot, but I'm doing a hell of a lot better than I was when I was a kid.

I was actually pretty ugly and unhappy during that age. I was homeschooled, so I didn't have to face anyone during that time, but it got pretty lonely. Once I hit 17 I started filling out and my face no longer resembled Jupiter's moon Io. It was weird, the change felt like it was overnight. I got my braces at the age of 16 and got them off at the age of 17, too. Before that I looked like a goblin when I smiled. On top of that, my hormones were extra crazy even for a teen and I had very short cycles with very long, painful periods and ovarian cysts. My mom stuck me on BC soon after my 17th birthday, too. I think I started classes in college a few months after that.

Now that I think about it, I was never so miserable in my life than I was during that timespan. It was after it was over that everything turned awesome.
