Honestly, I don't hate pixyteri. I actually find her kind of cute and pretty passionate, which I admire. It's just her behavior that's primarily off-putting, but it's so extremely dysfunctional that I honestly can't be upset with her. I suppose that's true, all I hear about her is what I hear here. I'm not a cosplayer, so it's not like anyone I know has ever met her. But what I have heard is pretty dysfunctional. I mean, if I had a friend on Facebook or Twitter who posted the kinds of consecutive, angry, complaining posts, that alone would make me roll my eyes. It's just not mature behavior - griping really frequently on social networking sites makes you look needy and immature.

And the fact that she's 30 and lives at home, and has a job but no career, puts her well behind most others her age (or at least, what I expect of 30 year olds - perhaps my expectations of normal are too high?). By 30, I expect most people to have been living independently for at least 5 years minimum, have a full-time job that they've held for several years, have a management level position at least, have cemented career goals, and have enough saved to be looking towards investing in a home in the near future. If she were in her early 20's, sure, living at home and having a low-level job would be perfectly acceptable - it's not ideal, but hey, the economy is tough and extended adolescence isn't uncommon these days. But the fact that she's really frankly behind her age group in career development and relationship development, and seems to have some real self esteem issues that she broadcasts regularly, make it seem like she has some underlying issues that are more extreme than those of the general population.

I actually hope it does soon, the idea that an 18 year old should move out right away is kind of stupid, unnecessary, and (I think) causes quite a few problems out there. Staying at home until one is very secure or out to start a new family works in every single way, and really multigenerational families are better off.

I don't think living at home is a big deal, either. I live in a big, expensive city with lots of students and many of these students still live at home. Your personal opinion is irrelevant. Health problems aren't scaled, and the fact that there are people fatter than she is doesn't make her less fat. She probably qualifies as obese at this point. Not morbidly obese, but certainly much more than "just chubby".

I've been trying to lose some weight lately (some shit happened, unable to move around, gained 25lbs). I talk to my friend about it sometimes, and she just tells me "You're fine as you are. I mean, look at the average american woman. You're only a little bit over your weight, while they're unhealthy!"
It's like, excuse me? 25lbs over is 25lbs over. I don't care what you say about me being healthier than them in comparison. It's unhealthy and gross and I want to get rid of it. PT is a terrible person and has said some some genuinely shitty things about other men/women/people. She's judgmental about the way people look and how they live their lives while she herself contributes next to nothing to society or her own household. She's petty, spoiled and immature.

Dakota and her sister are all of these things and more. She and Kiki have said WORSE things, are even MORE judgmental, bigoted and ignorant and some of the drama they have started had an impact on people's lives irl. What's more, before Dakota's modeling gigs, the sisters Cannibal didn't contribute to a household that was even poorer than PTs Let's not forget they have declared bankruptcy although their daughters were spending money on software, Taobao VW replicas and makeup. As far as we know, they didn't even have actual jobs. At least PT works part time. That's only the stuff that I can think of off the top of my head. There's no telling what kind of fuckery I'll remember with a little digging.

Anybody who has spoken to her has said she is generally very sweet. I have, and she is. Yes, she is pretty irrational and overly sensitive about some things, but with the amount of shit she gets I almost can't blame her. I think she needs to lay off of people but I also think all her transgressions are exaggerated or carried on more than other people who have done far worse. Dakota is the perfect example of this, she's passably attractive and thus gets more of a pass for all her bullshit (snipernyan was similar too).

PT works and she did finish college after all, plus as long as you don't hit her weird points she is, again, a very sweet person and quite nice to talk to.

I don't think it's right to judge people off what they say and do online because at the end of the day it's the internet and you can never truly gauge how a person really is, and this applies to all the nasty things she's said and the supposedly sweet demeanor she displays in IM chats.

I think calling her "chubby" has some claim because she still has a distinct shape to her (not as "curvy" as she likes to imagine herself, but still with a shape nonetheless). For me that indicates "chubby", obese is when shape is lost or there are health issues popping up.

About her irrationality and over-sensitivity: I remember her from the Lolita community before all this drama started and she was exactly the same. She would fly off the handle at even the most gentle concrit. I think we see more of this side of her because she's become a lolcow, but she was definitely like that before.

I think a lot of the bitchy things she's said (about other women in particular) stem from the same massive insecurities and mental instability that all her other delusions come from. Her delusions about herself, life and those around her is probably making it hard for her to accept criticism or any kind of help. I spoke to her off and on on DA for a while and it seemed like the more people tried to give her advice, the more critical she became of others and the more eager she was to do the opposite of what was suggested. I think that's why she wore increasingly revealing and ill-suited cosplays for a while and got into gravure. Thus, the more negative attention she seemed to get.

I'm not excusing her behavior, mind. I still think she's a spoiled, insecure and vindictive who expects indulgence to an absurd degree, but my speaking to her on DA/the Lolita community and hearing stories from people who know her makes me understand her almost histrionic behavior better.
