I don't like this "cosplay". The only parts of the cosplay that were even made by this chick is the horns (potentially, they could be bought from somewhere) and the wig was probably styled by her.

There's a difference between cosplaying a character and putting on a pretty costume, and this "cosplay" is more of the latter.

Well actually although the bodice of the dress was from one I already owned, I added the sleeves, skirt layers, buttons and bow myself. The bow is painted fabric, and the dress parts cotton sateen- the bottom layer is a circle skirt and the top layer gathered because I ran out of fabric.

I'm not entirely sure how to take that you thought the whole thing was bought ;-;...

My Dave wig I wove together from straw I'd plucked from bales of hay picked by hand. My hand. Golden and soft and beautiful in the sunlight.

The shirt I made from cotton I'd grown on my land, harvested until my palms were raw and bloody.

I saved the blood to dye the sleeves.

The blackness of my heart was used to make the broken record, and I killed, skinned, and shaved a polar bear for its hide to create my black pants.

The aviators are made of steel I twisted into shape with my own teeth, the lenses slates of obsidian I dug up at an Indian burial ground.

I went to Malaysia and paid with unmarked money to have a double ocular transplant, the donor an albino boy who'd made rude gestures at my crotch and followed me when I waved money at him.

I am a cosplayer.

I've had the wig for a while now! I've worn it a couple of times for other things, but only once for Jadepsirte!

It's fibers are really..weird and dry feeling and it doesn't hold curll very well after you bursh it enough. IT TANGLES SO EASILY I HATE IT.

I spent half an hour brushing it and I hadn't even done anything to it before hand besides move it around a little bit.
I had to cut a rat's nest out from under it before brushing it more. And even after that i seemed to be curlier on one side more than the other and no matter what I did it didn't go back to normal. I finally managed to get the who wig to be wavy.
Shipping wasn't to bad, it came in about a week, and I got a free wig cap and a nice wire brush as a gift.

You have to get the colors corodonated or else it looks like a hot mess. Try to stick to bright greens. The other jadesprite in my picture had dark green tears, lips and nails with a really bright green wig and it looked really awkward. Luckily i think she's revising her cosplay again!

It means to cut what we eat.

Focus on losing bodyfat, usually in preparation to "bulk" (build muscle).

If you cut too much and don't build muscle... you get super skinny and lose your muscle alongside your fat. Think Ghandi.
Likewise in order to Bulk you have to eat a lot more than you are used to and have to work hard to have it converted into muscle.

This is super simplified, but if you want details go to /fit/.

However I find it easier to keep on track by cutting and then bulking. It's all relative my friend and what works for another may not work for you.

Oh and being a little on the slim side is perfectly fine for most people's purviews of beauty. Being a little bit fattier doesn't really follow that rule, so you will tend to see faster results by cutting first.

Hey i know you guys dont like genderbends but i need an opinion on this wig. I was going to use it for my Male jade but im worried that its to short. Should I use this wig (with more styling of course) or borrow my friends john wig? I think male jades hair could go one of two ways. One, normal jade lives on an island and she doesnt care if it grows out so male jade would let his be long and shaggy because i doubt he knows how to style/cut hair. You're just wrong, dude. You will obtain faster results by bulking first and then cutting, because you build muscle much faster and healthier with a calorie surplus (aka bulking) and much slower with a calorie deficit (aka cutting).

Cutting first and then bulking is the vain, stupid way to do it because it means you care less about being efficient and getting the right results in a healthy way and more about being a skinny twat.

Hello, I was wondering if I could get some opinions on something. I am 20 but due to my height (4'11") and facial structure, most people mistake me for 15-16. I've been cosplaying Homestuck for a little over a year now and would really like to cosplay one of the Ancestors but I'm a little afraid I don't/can't appear old enough to properly cosplay one, as I know most people prefer the Ancestors to look older than the main trolls. Are there any that most people tend to prefer looking younger? Preferably female as I'm not fond of crossplaying. I just thought I'd get some opinions before I made a final choice. Thanks.

Even if you have similar hair, I'd always suggest getting a wig. Wigs just have that fullness that most characters need, and they'll never get limp, lanky, and oily like actual hair does.

On the other hand, it's always a personal choice. Like the other poster said, they little brother is 13, and I can't think of many 13 year olds who want to wear wigs.

Can I just ask: How do you find Homestuck most appealing? I don't really like the series, or any sort of fandom because I'm just not into the idea of reading a whole story to understand the character links and such. I tried to read homestuck but it was simply to confusing for me. But I want to understand different perspectives on this

A bit more info on my perspective on this:

I have two friends who are obsessed with homestuck, and one who is also sort of obsessed. I looked into it to understand who the hell the characters were, and honestly, it just doesn't interest me.

Granted, the art of it that I've seen is fantastic, but the fact that there are over (however many pages there are, I think there are at least 7000) pages of just clicking through, reading all the walls of text and understanding all the various references is just too boring for me.

I know this probably belongs elsewhere, but my biggest peeves of the series:

Honestly, half of the stuff you listed is why I LIKE Homestuck. I love all of the crazy plot shit, and the way Hussie tells the story. But that's just me, I guess the confusingness isn't everyone's cup of tea. I like how the whole thing keeps you on the edge of your seat because you're not sure what's going to happen next, or how you can read through it multiple times and pick up on things you missed, and how the littlest things can become the most important, and how fun it is to make up theories and such!
