It looks like it'd be really fun costume to make and wear, and it'd give me some damn good motivation to workout more and eat less.

A lot of the other Victim Girls are just made-up bullshit, I assumed that the Ragnarok one was just more made made-up bullshit in an online world setting.
I've never actually played RO before so I didn't even recognize the costumes, I was like "Oh wow, those are really cute designs! I love to make that and wear it to my next con!".

How can you even assume they are made up characters anymore, they're all probably from something that you just don't reconize. It's kind of a hentai thing to do. But if you like the design, now that you know what it's from, you should consider playing the game on a free server or something now since a high priestess would still be cool to see so long as you know what it is, and what it isn't. The good thing about RO cosplays is you can customize the hair/accessories, due to them being somewhat customizable in game. (depending on the server) And still be recognizable. There's a lot of attractive designs/jobs too, I think Arch Bishop would be a better alternative on you personally, due to it being a higher and more impressive class of the high priest, also sexier.

Sorry, I've just been really excited to see this movie and finally saw a character design I wanted to cosplay. I'm not a fan of my own physical appearance, and her outfit is cute AND covers pretty much everything so I wanted to try it out.

It's old (though they added some new classes which are pretty sweet) so it's like pixel shit but still cute. I played some of RO 2 (beta, not out yet) which is more like WoW, Aion, and Phantasy Star. But idk, I love how much more customizable and better graphics it has, but the game play is still pretty much the same and in general I'm just bored after playing the same game for years. But keep that in mind, it was good enough to play for years. So it's more like a classic. Fun wise, League of Legends and Guild Wars 2 are my guilty pleasure right now. Though just because it's been around for so long, Ragnarok is very recognizable and still popular. Which says a lot more to me than the newest shiny mmorpg's that tend to be only popular for a week.

These are mostly planned with my boyfriend for Katsucon 2013 and SDCC 2013.

Whole lot of borderlands going on, but fuck I love that game.

i honestly still feel that way to some extent. like, i have not met a cosplayer who has a pronounce style that isn't based on some fandom. even my boyfriend does it.

but the main thing that changed my mind was i met a bunch of cosplayers at a small local con who were more interested in meeting people who shared their fandom than getting their photo taken. i had never hung out with a group like that before because i was always with the people who made 6+ outfits per con and spent half of it in their room sewing and the other half just getting their picture taken and never meeting anyone knew and just being in their little clique.
the only reason i was let into their inner circle was because i'm pretty.
and this was on the east cost and west cost. literally the same type of people on both sides.

and then i met my boyfriend, and he cosplays. and i wanted to try to indulge in his hobby. we will see how the con goes. i have only ever been to a con in cosplay (closet cosplay) once and we spent 90% of the time at a photoshoot.

Can you suggest a few good West Coast cons? My friends live in Northern LA and Portland, so that's where I'd be based out of, were I to go to one.

C2E2- Poison Ivy (not the generic shitty one that gets slapped together in 2 seconds, mine is going to be fucking awesome) And Aela the huntress from skyrim.

Comic-Con Chicago- Poison Ivy again, Dark pheonix from x-men, Arkham guard for group cosplay thing, and either aela or pheonix again. can't decide. I'm putting alot of work into these costumes and want to use them more than once :)
