how do you coordinate a siege like that in a LARP setting?
i thought you are "dead" when you get hit, but with so many people on one spot no one can tell if you get hit or not

There's a castle in my city and a larp supply shop, but for the life of me I can't find a group that isn't dead or closed. It looks like they all go to another city (without a castle!) that I can't get to due to a lack of a car.

every player trust the other one that he will admit the hit. Usually because it's piss easy to tell if someone is not admitting a hit.
Although I realize that some larp has referees to watch things like this but that's not the norm.
So you don't need to coordinate a siege from organizer viewpoint, the players has to organize their siege but that's an In Game thing

for the hit? Depends on the game. In the US people usually call out the damage, or the guy who is hit must shout something that he admits it. But in Europe it's kind of rare, the norm here is that you know what to do if you get hit, no need of any kind of indicators or shouting or anything like that.

It1s from a german LARP mythodea (one of the biggest larps in the world with Drachenfest) and there is an undead NPC faction. She was part of that faction and probably a somehow important NPC.
But I never played at that game so I can't say for sure

LARP is an acronym for Live Action roleplaying. Think of it a little like Civil War reenactments if you're American or British, but with RPG rules and scenarios (so little like a live action RPG with costumes). Lots of groups for it in Europe and North America - it's very popular in Eastern Europe in particular.
A pretend battle is closer to the mark than fair, although at it's heart it's just a get together with friends with cool costumes. There's usually a few stories floating around on /tg/ about memorable ones, and we usually have LARP threads every week or so.

LARP is short for Live Action Role Playing
and it's an umbrella term just like Con
So there are hundreds or thousands of larps out there every one different.

But while the rules, settings and players change it's basically about you playing a fictional character and interact with others like you were that character. So if you have to persuade someone the you have to actually persuade them, if you want to fight with someone you actually have to fight, etc (of course all this according to the rules of that event)

I'm pretty sure that there are larps even in Portugal. About pages, you just have to search for larp in google and you will get more than enough sites. Although I must warn you that these pics shows mostly the high-end costumes with a few exceptions, so you will more likely to encounter worse ones if you find a larp group near you

Also, it's just my opinion but if you go to a decent game it would be pretty hard to get raped. Well there is a chance that someone rape you in game but that doesn't really count (one time our mercenary band's captain did with a woman he just brough her into his tent, gave him a cup of coffee, said that she was raped, and that's all)

not him but as far as I know the "cage thing" is a handguard made out of thick wire to prevent hand injuries like broken fingers and such. The stripped rod is most likely rattan or plain old wood covered in duct-tape or powertape so when it shatters it won't break completely and won't be any splinters.

Good luck with your search! I hope you find a group. There's not really a register for these sort of things, but you could try your local gaming shop I guess. Sometimes there's posters up for LARP groups there.

It's a handguard - basically, what it says on the tin. Historically they were found on rapiers and short blades - think swashbucklers and pirate swords. It's not exactly accurate for the time period being RP'ed, but it's protecting his hand against being hit, so, meh. Don't take that nit picking the wrong way - most people don't care outside of historical reenactment, and even then, you can take some liberties with it.
