I need* a wig that goes along with the purple colorway of the BL Squirrel dress. I'm thinking purple because my cardigan, shoes and most accessories are pink. Matching colors is a bitch, maybe I should just go with a blonde/pink split? I want to try OTT but also be able to dress down without the wig being too crazy so I'm not sure about a split.
I'll post a coord idea after I clean my room. Advice is loved as I'm wanting to get 'serious' about Lolita outfits.
*I know they're not required but I have bright pink hair with a mohawk so I prefer to wear a wig in Lolita.

Had a go with two ideas - one music themed, one just with colours. The headbow/jewellery is for both outfits.

I'd use a lighter brown rather than a dark brown- this JSK is REALLY dark. The stock picture is misleading- the ribbon is a dark forest green but the rest is almost black. The brown might clash if it's not the right.

Go offbrand, brand lolita is fairly devoid of purple. Forever21, topshop, asos, and modcloth are normally where I go to find stuff, but you will probably be able to find cheaper options locally. I would say purple turtleneck/cardigan/tights+grey shoes, or there are some nice purplexblack lace shoes that t.u.k. has on sale at the moment.

My inspiration is just sticking colours and themes together, although sometimes I'll make a coord around a specific idea or inspiration.

Their blouses are great, and for the price, the quality is excellent! The fabric is thick enough, soft enough, and really sturdy. I don't think it is lined though, and their petticoats are pretty awful. However, the lace they use is decent, thick, and soft. The construction is usually good and consistent as well. (: I think it's better than what you pay for, and worth it.

I have some black oxford heels that I considered wearing but I'm walking a bit of a distance to get to the meet. Should I bring flats in a spare bag and change into them?

And also on the stocking front I have a whole heap of new pairs in the mail that haven't arrived yet (I also won't have time to go to the store) and I can't wear any of my older ones because they are looking a little ratty so this is my best bet.

On a side note that dress is really costumey in person. A friend of mine, not a lolita and not particularly fashionable, bought it and every time I see it I want to rip it off of her.
It really draws attention and the golf is really bright, and the material doesn't look like a true black but instead offblack, which makes any hair or stuff on it really apparent. It looks kinda cheap and the gold makes it look even more cheap.

In my opinion the heels should be a bit more bold to match the rest of the items here. The idea of using such a lovely flowery print for ero is really nice though. Usually only black is really used.

Other than that, I think it does look ero because of the tights and shape and the amount of sheer fabric.

Ero is just 'sexy', basically. Shorter hems and more sexual looking accessories and shoes, are what make the outfit rather than just the color. Corsets are usually used because they're perceived as a sexual item. Anyways, I would wear this if I had anything similar to it.

Definitely agree on the boots. I'd go with the white socks on the right, or maybe just plain white tights. I like the necklace furthest to the right, so I'd build the rest of your jewelry around that. Overall I'd say keep things simple and elegant, since there are a lot of beautiful details in that dress and you don't want to overwhelm it.

Hey, I refined this coordinate idea a little, I'd like some feedback.

I changed the blouse when i realized the original one is off white and the dress has white accents. Ordered the tights, ring and plain hat. When I get the hat I'm going to decorate it a bit, do a white ribbon band, make a white ribbon bow and then attach a pocket watch I've got to the bow/band. Obviously i'm kind of going for an alice-inspired look. I'm not 100% sure on my hair yet as it depends on how the hat fits but I'm thinking split half up (I don't own any wigs...) or else twin braids, my default hair style.

Ooh, maybe I'll do a layered band, a wide white grosgrain with a thinner blue ribbon centered on top of that. And I can use the thin blue ribbon in my hair. What do you guys think?

Colder months:
To turn it loli you will need a blouse to bring up the neckline and a dark fitted jacket in a color that compliments you. Black is easy but deep burgundy or royal blue works too.

A classic pin on the lapel, or if you have a high necked blouse then a pin at the neck. A beret in a matching color to the jacket. Tights and boots.

oh and this skirt needs to be wide enough to fit a small petti. Don't have it sit there all limp and ruin the look
