My two cents:
I avoid groups of girls that glare at everyone they're around, they always have some sort of ring leader bitch who loves to judge everyone. They tend to be the psycho's of the con. I prefer casual girls who are as polite to me as I am to them. Elitist in any gender pisses me off. I don't really go to cons to hook up though, most of the time I'm shit faced so....

I just approach them and grab the cutest one from the bunch, take her to a church, marry her and spend my life trying to get as much smiles out of her as possible.

Hey anon. My friend linked me to this thread and I'm not an actual /cgl/ regular, but I do cosplay every now and then.

I don't do this too often. Once or twice a year.

My process starts with eyeing how the populous acts. Aim for girls in pairs or by themselves. Why only two or less? Because friends are judgmental and protective. Less people means less judging which means less reasons not to lead to sex.

Honestly, I never plan on these encounters. But the women I've been with tended to give off certain hints they wanted things to go somewhere. So I went along with it. Then there are times where they are tentative on what they want.

Actually. I think about it now and wonder if I just have some privilege in this setting because I'm Asian? I guess it helps. Either way. Another piece of advice, is to not approach serious looking cosplayers with such thoughts.

You're looking for odds within your favor for a casual encounter. Serious cosplayers tend to have other things floating about in their minds besides getting some dick.

And if you're rooming with friends, try to steer the encounter to your target's room.

For me, it's a matter of being friends with everyone. Make friends even with the girls you have no opportunity with like if she's not interested in you or she's married. She might not have any romantic inclinations for you but she'll tell her close friends that may also be hot that you're cool. It might not happen with one particular person, but it'll be an in with another girl that you could suit each other better than the first girl. Just be open minded and meet people and don't be hung up on trying to fuck the first hot thing or every hot thing you see. Relax, there are attractive people to go around, as long as they feel comfortable around you then you're better off than most guys, especially a lot of liftfags.

Honestly at this point it's just a mentality that I can best summarize as business but casual. Having a reasonable expectation of how long you're supposed to be in conversation is normal too. Just be honest and talk to the decently cute ones that like the same shit you do. Clearly they're not going to invest time in you, so why invest in them? Your time matters too. It's a con, there are panels to see, things to buy, cosplayers to meet. Whatever it is you do.

Bottom line: Don't smell like ass, smell nice. People follow the person having the most fun. Have fun, if you follow that and put yourself out there and shake hands, you will find someone to conjugate and bump uglies with, if that's what you're after.

Don't do it. There's often a chance that they're underage, lying and will claim you raped them afterwords. Shit happens all the time at conventions - especially when alcohol is involved
