Not really. Halloween costume sizing's are really skewed and majority of the time are produced using really cheap, stretchy nylon fabrics.

I ended up buying two costumes. The first one was the short version which I actually believed had been ruched at the sides and could be let down. When it arrived the fit was fine, but it was ridiculous amounts of short and stopped mid-butt so I went and bought the alternative longer version which fits perfect and I can just take it up instead.

Honestly, I don't think it's the plus size version. Looking at the size chart, the smaller of the two plus sizes, 1X, has a 37"-39" waist and 45"-47" bust. PT is fat, but she's not THAT fat. Actually it was mainly due to overeating shit food and probably 15-20 pounds due to hypothyroidism. I've lost 74 pounds with diet management, exercise, and medications. Fucking sucks.

I didn't go clothes shopping much and I really can't say why getting higher and higher into the sizes didn't tip me off. I do remember about the time I hit size 14, I did "try" and exercise. And by try I mean fat girl try. The whole thirty minutes on the bike, reward afterwards shebang. Got up to 18/20, saw the pics, and went to a doctor due to other shit and found out.
