Not much has changed plan wise.
I might wear a wig for my non-cosplay day but I dunno if that would be weird?

I am so not ready. I only just started drafting the pattern for my jacket today. I was leaving it until next week because I wasn't anticipating any college work, then I took a week off last week and have to work through next week too. I'm so fucked.

On the plus side, I'm now only doing one cosplay instead of two.

My travel is £2 return from Oxford to London then I think I have money on my Oyster for Victoria to Custom House. Hotel is £40. Ticket is £29. I typically don't buy anything because it's the same shit you can get on TB for cheaper. Then whatever for food/drink. Not too expensive really.

They're becoming increasingly common. Doujinshi are limited run publications so some of them can be rather expensive. I tend to not spend more than £12 per doujinshi though.

Yeah, MCM is mostly TV shows and comics, but has a large anime/manga fanbase that attend. They have events in Telford, Manchester and London. For actual conventions I'd suggest Kitacon, Amecon, Ayacon, Gemucon and HyperJapan.

We usually stay up till about 3am so yeah, staying overnight is recommended. And the expo staff come round the event grounds looking for people who don't have wristbands and will try to kick you off the site, so it's best to get one just to be safe. Not sure about cool swag prices though, I always forget. A nendo is usually about £35 though.

The London event is a expo, not a con (but I won't bother explaining the difference).
If you are coming from far away (assumingly out of London too) yes you would want to stay at a hotel to enjoy the event and have the most fun.
You don't have to pre-buy tickets, but if you want to go in on Friday you will need to get the right pre-buy ticket(s) to get in.
Generally £50 for most stuff, but items do tend to be more than that so when you go to the event you want to have at least £100 to £200 with you or more (but not too much though for obvious reasons) after paying for hotel accomondation, tickets and other things.

I don't know what to do! I am in London now on holiday, but was going home Friday. I just extended my stay and now I'm going to expo when I really didn't know I was going to be here. I've gotten a triple room for £60 for the last two Expos I've attended. I booked on late-rooms two days before we went.

For the most part, people book one hotel room for a large group (ours is nine in a four bed room), and just sling their stuff in there. You'll be out all night anyway; the hotel room is just so you can take stuff with you and leave it somewhere safe. Someone on the forums will have space.
