mine was a pleasant experience and my costume came out brilliantly.

tend to forget how slow this board is. No matter I'll just post some of the better cosplays I saw.

Super busy. But at least I managed to get one costume in my carryon. Even if I don't find any pictures of me from the con, I can always wear it to another convention.

Velma from Scooby Doo. Friday and Saturday. I was stuck working behind the booth 90% of the time. I did at least have a magnifying glass with me as a small prop. Probably the easiest thing that could fit in my bag since I had to fly from California and couldn't do a checked bag. I had to cram about a weeks worth of clothing in a carry on.

Were you buy the comic shop where everyone was selling figures and merch? I think I saw a Velma once or twice.

I was at the back of the convention center in aisle 900. The only time I really got away was to either go run and grab some food, or go to the bathroom. I saw a few other girls dressed as Velma so I wouldn't be surprised if you saw me or one of them.

In short, exhausting, this being my first year attending, but I had fantastic time.

That's good to hear, my co-worker said he got bored after a while but I just don't understand that.

With a convention so crowded how can you not have fun? So many people, so many pictures, so many costumes. It's sincerely a place I feel welcomed.

Because every single con I ever work. We ALWAYS get people who take wigs off our display and just start putting it on their heads. No wigcap. Product in their head. Don't even ask. We get the ones who apologize, but there's ALWAYS those people who act like jerks because we told them not to do something. I had two mothers who took wigs and put them on their baby's head to try to take stupid photos. It's obvious the kid doesn't want it on their head by the vigorous squirming.

Also, Sunday was kids day and we got unattended children coming up to our booth grabbing at wigs or egging each other on to try them on. Some looking like they weren't even 12 years old yet. One thing I can't stand is unattended children in a large public setting. I don't care how fun the con seems, don't leave a trio of 10 year olds to their own devices.

To be fair, for most of that show, he was wearing a shirt and pants. Even season 9 was just him in a trenchcoat. I'd feel weird claiming that as an actual costume when it's really just me in a trenchcoat and a superman shirt.

My local comicbook shop owner told me of this tailor. She made it for me. It looks better than I could have ever imagined. Even got to the point where Bendis (the creator of Ultimate Spider-Man) thought it was the tops of Miles cosplay.

She waited until the last week to get started and didn't finish it until Saturday afternoon but I think if she gave herself more time it could have looked even better.

I had a stupid amount of fun. Apart from the insane crowd on Saturday, it was easily the best time I've had at a con. I'm already looking forward to next year.

It was posted ages ago on here, I saved the picture. No sauce, the person who originally posted the picture said he made it only for his friends son's birthday party or something like that and wouldn't wear it anywhere else. He said he was to shy. I'd also love the sauce or to know how he made it!

That's the wax lifesize replica... There's a Madame Tussauds banner behind him. I was confused too.

It was horrible, I ended up "stucked" by the vending machine with the fat girl dressed as a doctor. She just kept on talking and had a strange accent and smell that I just couldn't get used to. Once I got away she found me again by the big window and started to jabber on again on how fun it was and how we should team up and do something together. She invited me to come to her place and sketch something up.

NYCC is starting to shape up as the best comic con in the country. I might start skipping SDCC and start heading to this.

Worked at the Funimation booth. Was fun but tiring(in general) Got some pretty decent swag, posters, whole books, shrits and such. Went to the Pokemon Black/White 2 event. Got some shirts, DS sleeve and bag there.

It was even more crowded than before. It didn't help there were construction around certain places. The security was even tighter so it was good since the crowd was also much more controlled

It was fun! Was planning to go Friday & Saturday but I somehow separated my big toe nail from its nail bed and well, walking much Saturday was not an option. Or Friday night, I had thought I broke my fucking toe again, and the people I was with DID NOT GIVE ANY FUCKS when I said, no, I can NOT walk to times square from the con I need to take a cab so many times and got PISSED AS SHIT when I went to hail a cab by myself.
Oh well, I now have a nice excuse to sit on my ass at work and a black and blue toe nail.
