Goddamn, /cgl/, not to defend these morons, but if they have jewnoses then I must be the jewiest jew that ever jewed in the jewhistory of jewism. I mean, they don't even have a hook or bump or anything.

Now a real complaint I have is that Link's tunic looks like it's made out of a goddamn t-shirt. Are you telling me with that ridiculous budget they couldn't afford decent fabric for the main character's costume?

T-shirt/jersey knit fabric Link is so... the sponge painted "dirt" effect isn't really random enough, looks pretty rectangular. This pic just shows the flaws even more.

Once again I didn't even see Navi was in the picture at all until after I read the description. Navi looks pasted on instead of sharing the same space of the characters. I thought Adella was laughing at link instead of Navi.

Link looks sleazy as hell wtf hahaha.

It feels so petty to nitpick every single tiny flaw about these pictures because by conventional means, they might be pretty cool, but since they're producing these off of someone else's money, I think we're allowed a bit of scrutiny.

T-shirt Link is the worst. Now that there are holes in it the material looks even more flimsy and ridiculous. The shoop in this picture is so intense I'm having a hard time looking at it without blinking, it literally looks like someone took a shiity overly flashes con shot and slapped a background and horse into it.

Adella used pretty good materials for Malon, I really like the textures. But the costumes look 'off', they don't look lived in.

Even Disney makes adjustments to their characters when they make the costumes for Disneyland. It seems like TZP crew was too afraid to change some parts of the costumes to help make them more fluid and functional for real life so they just end up looking like super shopped Con photos. I'm not going to mention Link's shirt because that's obvious, but his gloves just look like shitty faux leather sausages. They could have used their imagination and made artistic adjustments to the gauntlets or worn them down much more. Everything is so simple and clean.

I like it ...in the thumbnail. The position of the horse with it's head down looks a little awkward and just kind throws off the whole picture to me. Didn't see Navi at all either and when I spotted her I just face palmed. The background is just... I can't work it out.

They were going to be taking a bunch of shots from the OoT such as the Fire Temple and with Zora's and even with Impa. God knows how long all those will take. They had people vote on the next set, and people voted to see Malon & Link.

What is the point of scouting exotic locations and taking helicopter rides when the final product is completely shooped to hell? Those backgroundsthings look 100% made init Photoshop. They could save so much time and money if they just shot in front of a green screen or in someone's backyard or something. But then I guess Adella won't be able to use donation money for fancy trips.

Jewnoses aside, the photo and cg quality as well as costumes make the whole thing look low rent. Sad as hell.

Even if they had to use digital art for the backgrounds, they could have at least made it look high quality and realistic rather than looking like a blurred piece of shit.

Google Mickael Forrett and look at his reel. That guy is talented, no question. His work looks more like oil paintings though, it's not a hyper realistic style. I don't know what they were thinking getting him to do it, but he does have some nice work. It just doesn't mix well with real life people.

I think this would be a great photo IF it wasn't coming with all of this pomp and circumstance. If just some random cosplayer posted it it'd be getting a lot of praise. THAT BEING SAID. Honestly it looks fine to me.

The costumes look nice, the horse is a nice touch, the brightness gives it a fantasy look, people look nice.

Only thing I raise my eyebrow at is how much this cost. I've seen cosplayers just take advantage of having a friend who rides sometimes get them into a stable and then they take some photos.

Seriously, why would that cost more than $20 in gas and lunch for the friend?

I think the horse is shooped.
Epona was a silver bay/red taffy/flaxen chestnut (I think the jury's still out on that one.) which are pretty uncommon colourations.

They're not that uncommon. The flaxen they've got in the photo turns up pretty regularly among certain breeds. To be honest, the thing that annoys me most about the horse is the inaccurate tack. Epona's saddle was not a western rig.

Honestly the thing that bothers me most is the god damn fabric.

You want to be Link at a con? Sure, go for the cheap and easy t-shirt fabric. I assume you're making a costume because you love the character or source, and that's great. I might not be blown away by your costume but I'm not going to judge you for it. However, if you're making these (somehow) super expensive and (supposedly) elaborate costumes, use a fabric that works in REAL LIFE. You can fly around on a helicopter to get landscape pictures to photoshop but you can't get some fucking linen or something? It just ruins the whole thing. Makes it all look cheap and lazy.

I think the idea is great. I just wish that it wasn't crystal clear that it's all just a way for Adella to go on vacations and have weird cosplay sex with her current boytoy...

She clearly did this for her own sake. They could have scouted ranches but instead they made Lon Lon Ranch from scratch. If a movie was ever made of OoT or any Zelda game, the locations would never be exact. Their Lost Woods photo shoot didn't consist of a maze of tunnels or a labyrinth. It was of trees and rivers. The Adella portion had to be bang on to the game though, not surprising. I think the Lost Wood photos are much better then these ones, because in game the Lost Woods didn't translate well to real life but their vision worked well, and if they continue painting the backgrounds then this project will drag on, because they don't pay the people who alter the background.
