This is a small NJ convention (puchicon) that is clearly run by mask fascists. They refuse to back down and want to force their mentality ill ideas on everyone. It baffles me how ideologically possessed these people are.

Isn't it amazing how religiously faithful these neon haired gender nonconforming demi-humans are to a government institution? Functionally like meatbag robots, their lives a trivial pulse in the hivemind.
When they breath their last breath, with no family or friends to bid them farewell, at least they'll have the comfort of thinking they accomplished something by being supreme ruler of anime con number 569, doing the bidding of daddy government well by ruining the hobbies of those nasty freedom loving rebels who dwell in the filth of their chinese cartoons.
Truly a beautiful heritage to leave behind for their cats to inherit.

Be prepared for this to be common at a lot of cons this year and possibly next.

Thr con runner community bought into the mask shit so hard some of them would tank their events over not enforcing ~strict covid rules for your safety ~

I wish people would realize that attending an event puts you at risk (generally not just covid), it always has. Just like driving a car or flying or basically living on the planet.

>just go to otakon or nycc

Kek. Those aren't exactly great examples.
Otakon is requiring vaccines or negative tests as well as requiring that masks be worn.
NYCC hasn't set their policy yet, but is likely to do the same.

Speaking of NJ, AnimeNEXT's organizers are so dentheaded that they cancelled their convention entirely for the third straight year essentially because they couldn't force everyone in Atlantic City to be masked at all times (sadly I'm only slightly exaggerating).

Ultimately it's all about virtue signaling. The vaccine doesn't stop you from getting covid or spreading it (although it might keep you from dying, so it's not worthless). Cloth masks have extremely limited effectiveness.
The people that want to keep masks mandates in place are a vocal minority. Most people that disagree or question those policies are too afraid to speak up.

And masks do not. Unless you have a medical grade N95 they don't keep covid out. I know a lot of people that go everywhere ~masked up and vaxxxed~ that have caught covid. It's not about the goverment, it's about a social gestalt which the government has overlap with in terms of their covid policy.

You, also, clearly exist in one of them. It's just that your group of idiots is currently at odds with theirs, and both of you are convinced you've obtained some sort of enlightenment in your broken belief systems.

That said maybe you're just trolling, as the image you posted seems to imply that because of corona virus particles being 70-90 nanometers (~120x smaller than the smoke particle in question) and traditional cloth or medical masks being ineffective against smoke particulate based on it's size. They will also be ineffective against corona virus particulate.
As a matter of fact, however, corona virus particulate (when leaving someones lungs) generally does so in respiratory droplets. Which are much larger than the viral particulate it's self. One could dispute that, unlike larger droplets, aerosols may pose a greater risk of the spread of the corona virus among individuals farther from the point of origin. Nonetheless it has been proven that viral disease outbreaks via aerosol transmission are less severe then one would think, because of dilution and inactivation of viral particulate that lingers for extended periods in the air.

Had one con where she was auctioning off dates with a cosplayer, another one where her co-chair "won" the grand prize cash pot, who used the money to pay her some debt and go on a vacation!

nayrt x2, there is a compiled list on Steve Kirsch's substack titled: "The "safe and effective" narrative is falling apart."
For as much as /cgl/ harpies keep screeching to go back to /pol/, archive 4plebs with search subject "covid general" is a good way to pull up archived threads with efforts to collect different information pertaining to the vaccines, deaths, government policies, etc.
The rest is my personal experience: I had this really horrendous period in the month following the Pfizer vaccination of most of my classmates. I eventually left the country and got a non-mRNA vaxx but I think what may have been mRNA viral shedding from my classmates affected me permanently. My fully Pfizer vaccinated co-workers have been out in waves sick with covid since last month and most are young men who are required to have a certain fitness standard.
I do hope anime cons eventually return to normal because I want to see my friends and I do want to have healthy interactions with people, but as for everything else, I think the damage has been done already.

You should do you own research first to avoid developing cognitive bias from secondary or tertiary compilations of sources which could have been assembled with confirmation bias.
> I had this really horrendous period in the month following the Pfizer vaccination of most of my classmates.
It's almost like people stopped quarantining/wearing masks, and spread a whole bunch of other diseases (and covid) as soon as they got vaccinated. Which is funny because masking by it's self is possibly more effective than the vaccines. I honestly don't know what people were expecting.

I could see this effecting development of communication abilities in very small children, simply because facial expressions are thought to be important for that. But it's not like their parents would wear masks in their house with them, and it's not like they can't interact with other children physically while masked/over the internet while unmasked. Further more, do you really think covid is going to be the main source of isolation in the coming future? children these days prefer to spend all their time on electronics anyways. >the pfizer and moderna vaccines work.
These two statements are contradictory.

trust Dr. Anon on this one, he's a graduate of reading many /pol/ threads about the jab and Bitchute University of Epidemiology.

I was proposing alternative possible explanations to "The vaccines did it". Which seems to be what you were entertaining. And while I don't deny that I have some degree of cognitive bias, I do think that it's rather minimal on this topic.

>It's almost like people stopped quarantining/wearing masks, and spread a whole bunch of other diseases (and covid) as soon as they got vaccinated.
>the pfizer and moderna vaccines work.
>These two statements are contradictory.
Except they're not. You can still get sick after being vaccinated. Also clearly you were skimming my post. As the next sentence said:
>masking by it's self is possibly more effective than the vaccines.
I should however point out that I did make a typo.
>that isn't out the pfizer and moderna vaccines work.
Was meant to be:
>that isn't how the pfizer and moderna vaccines work.
Although given the context, and how the first one is grammatically incorrect, I'd imagine someone not skimming a post would have caught this.
>No they do way more than that
>Pic related
Certainly useful data, but only when the magnitude of these events is compared against some control.
>Sounds like you hold a grudge against people living their lives normally
I do, infact, hate normalfags who go out and act like retards in public all the time. You always seem them doing the dumbest most inane shit.

no one gives a shit if you need to correct your typos to fix the context of your post but don't act like it's anyone else's fault here but your own.

nobody gives a shit about puchicon, it's a literal who's who con that doesn't matter, has no guests, and no attendance to speak of.
cons don't give a shit about the people they lose by enforcing mask mandates as well, since most leadership is lefty and a very large amount of congoers are lefty as well. if they said no masks most of the posts on the insta/twitter/facebook post would be condemning them (than if vice versa), because rightoids don't shill as hard as lefties do

this is a pointless thread.
