Dream concerts would be anything related to Love Live (though all LL groups seem to have events in japan during AX weekend so the odds are basically zero), BanG Dream, idolmaster, or Uta no Princesama.
>What are your dream guests?
RAISE A SUILEN, Roselia, Miyano Mamoru or any of the Uta no Princesama cast (the 2019 movie premiere panel was great so if they come back to premiere the new 2022 movie I’ll shit myself with excitement). Any good anisong guest.

That's hard to answer without specifics. You have round trip flight cost, lodging which varies between where you stay (hotel, hostel, and how far), how much you buy, and how much you eat and where. Let's say your flight is $1000 round trip, you get a nice hotel by yourself for another $1000 or 1200, you buy $1000 of merchandise, and another $600 in food because you're eating at nicer places. Or maybe you live closer so round trip is only $600, and you get a hostel or cheap motel which costs maybe $400 total, and you only buy $200 in merch, and food is $200 because you're eating fast food every day (that would be a lot of fast food).

If I wanted that then I would just go to a local con, not AX. Imagine going to Disney Land and being told "Hey spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars to hang out with your friends and other fans but you don't get to ride any rides or meet any of the main characters you love". That is the problem AX is supposed to have big name guests from Japan not a bunch of Macbook DJ's and three British guys who don't talk about anime anymore.

Unless you live in LA AX isn't worth the time to come to. Gas in CA is over $6 a gallon and going up, flying is going to cost a few hundred dollars. Then throw in a hotel room, tickets, merch/art and then food and drinks and you are easily spending $1,000 or more and for what, a con experience that is the same as the one you would get at one in your own city or state.

Which talking about Trash Taste, how is AX able to get them and no one else from Japan? TT are three non-Japanese citizens who are able to leave Japan and come back. Japan has been extremely restrictive on keeping non-Japanese people out of the country, that includes ones that have lived there for years. So if TT can come to AX why can't they get some people who actual work in the anime and manga industry to come?

If they were smart, and they are not, you would just send a copy of your vaccine status when you got ordered your badge online. If you don't send one then you can't get your badge.

You can also have it where you are vaccinated but you don't want to send a copy of your vaccine status to them online. You just give people an option to show it in person when you get your badge.

You limit the number of badges someone can buy. That means you can't go and buy 500 badges and try to resell them outside the con, looking at you NYCC. If you are getting badges for 5 people, you need to have 5 separate vaccine cards, one for each person who id getting a badge.

Now you have it where everyone who is coming to the con, who hasn't resold their badge has proof that they have been vaccinated. And yes there are going to be other issues with this but it is a lot better than asking each person for their papers each time they enter the con.

Japan does not have mandatory quarantine any more unless you’re traveling there from a small number of flagged countries. If you have a Japanese passport you can go straight home after landing. They used to hold you in the airport for a few hours to take a Covid spit test but I think that was recently dropped too.

So the only barriers for getting JP guests over would be the visas (not hard for a competent event staff) or the guest themselves not wanting to go because of the relatively lax Covid policies in the US.

it doesnt mattet what the fuck the pope says. it doesnt matter what your pastor or rabbi says. your religion is defined by your own standards- thats how it is defined in the law. you and many others are going to be highly confused as the mega lawsuits start to be shown on tv and commercials etc in the next 5 years, where very large companies are forced to settle.

>> No.10770956

>>10770925
It depends… generally it’s more dry but it can get humid-ish. Nowhere near like the South or Hawaii or something, but it’s not desert status either.
Generally it’s pretty mild, usually it’s in the 70s or 80s in LA around AX. It usually is pretty sunny, so bring sunscreen, and wear it even if you don’t plan on being outside much (lines etc. aren’t always covered).
An average person will get warm hanging around outside, it’s air conditioned inside though. It’s nowhere near hot enough that masking will be an issue (and as stated before, it’s usually not required outside anyway).

The one outlier was 2018 when it was like 109F out of nowhere. I don’t expect that to happen again, but if the forecast looks to be hotter, just make sure to bring water as if it is hotter its usually pretty dry.

He's also Implying the reason mortality rates haven't been higher in countries where people are reporting illnesses isn't because of the largely vaccinated population.

>the vaxxies are more of a threat
To others?
>untested science juice that didnt even have control group much less actual testing
Funny, cause i seem to recalling reading the results of phase 1-3 blind/placebo testing for the pfizer vaccine that would say otherwise. The worst thing they did was to merge phase 2 with phase 3 (essentially a matter of scale as i remember) because of the rush to get a functional vaccine out faster.
>the leaked pfizer docs
I'll have to read these. But based on what I've skimmed so far it seems that If you don't like that some of the mRNA in one of the batches deteriorated a bit, you could get your vaccine from a different manufacturer, or even get a completely different formula, from any of pfizers competing companies.
Also why hacktivists can be useful whistle blowers. I'd take information posted anonymously by such individuals with a grain of salt. IT could be that they work for one of pfizers competing companies, or anyone with political motivation to make westerners distrust each other, or spread disease.

>too bad you probably are no gun
On the contrary, I'm pro-gun. What i'm saying is that to maintain order in society, we either need a well regulated police force, or to be enforcing the NAP.

>You Preregistered?
Yes
>Vaccinated/unvaccinated/none of your goddamn business?
Vaccinated. Still debating about getting a booster before AX pulls of a Fanime
>You saving up for the con?
Kinda. Mostly debating what to buy online vs at con
>How’s your AX fund jar doing so far and what’s your budget?
$500. I have a card with a decent credit line, so I'll be fine if I go over.
>You got your work PTO approved?
Yes
>Any setbacks so far until the con?
Besides a funeral to attend and GBF GW the week before, none.
>Cosplay Day 0/1/2/3 plans?
No cosplay. May wear some nerd apparel.
>What concerts do you wanna see at AX this year?
Can't say I have any I want to attend badly.
>What are your dream guests?
ZUN, maybe? Not huge about lining to meet a guest for an autograph.
>What’s the first thing you’re doing at AX after going through a two year timeskip?
Attend cosplay gatherings.

the "best" I've seen were these two assholes who dressed up as The Room characters and loudly made fun of people queuing up for questions. It was one of those no-name travelling cons, either the thing Arrowverse used to run with Walker Stalker Con or Wizard World

That said, I get the people who were super-weebs and then got into capeshit or other western bullshit instead. I personally prefer a lot of capeshit cliches over generic shonen ones and I've been watching anime less and less as time goes on

AX is like a shopping mall. Mall stores are being replaced with churches, literal who trade schools, and karate dojos. In this case, programming time for Japanese GoHs are being replaced with awful vtubers and English dub VAs. A definite sign of the times and this will be the same for years and even generations to come.

And then the mall reimagines itself and is reinvigorated. This downturn only lasts as long as Japan is afraid of things, and given that they're reopening to tourists, is a good sign for the future.

>cause i seem to recalling reading the results of phase 1-3 blind/placebo testing for the pfizer vaccine that would say otherwise

Here is the thing it takes 10-15 years to approve a vaccine. A phase 3 trial involves thousands of people and you keep your control group. None of this happened, they rushed the phase 3 trial with only dozens of people and after the trial they gave the vaccine to the control group. So that means if you want to see if there is any difference between the vaccinated and control groups, you can't.

Also Pfizer said the vaccine is ok for pregnant and nursing mothers. This was reported by Reuters and the report was written by Pfizer and the CEO of Pfizer in on the board of directors for Reuters. No conflict of interest there, nope, none at all.
