Look at what panel rooms are clear/non-clear, if there's a panel you want to see which is in a non-clear room you should plan to get in 2-3 panels before for the big ones (World premieres, JoJo etc.) and sit through

California usually has beautiful weather, but AX falls on the hottest week of the year every year. And like other anons said, you're going to spend hours of your time under that hot July sun. There is good food in LA, but not in the immediate vicinity of LACC.
Recommended to take one of the shuttles or uber to Little Tokyo a few miles away for better and far cheaper weeb food than the trucks offer.

I’m hoping it’s good enough to have a fighting chance, it’s the best thing I’ve ever made and the best craftsmanship I’ve ever done, but it’s a ballgown and I know needlework tends to be looked down upon compared to armor work. So I’m really hoping there’s at least one other judge with high level needlework knowledge (Yaya knows a lot, so at least there’s that). It would take more research. Is the badge's state held on the badge and can it be modified? Or is there some sort of central thing that records the tapped in/out status of a given number's state? If it's the former and it's local then yes it would be useful. You could clone a bunch of valid badges and they would have independent states if the state is just modified every time to you tap in/out by whatever machine you tap at. If it's the latter then that would be less useful because you wouldn't be able to have multiple people use the same badge numbers since they'd all share the same state (ex person 1 tags in, number is now marked as in, so anyone else trying to tag in would have an error). You have the best badge for buying stuff as you can get into the exhibit hall early. Some vendors don't sell to exhibitors (since they know you can get in early) but most won't care. Where the Premier badge is better is if there are panels or a premiere you want to see since you can skip the line. Both do allow you into the convention center easily which is a godsend. It's a lot less shit show when you can skip lines. Like night and day.

Japan has been notoriously risk-adverse the entire pandemic. They walled off the country to almost everyone that wasn't a Japanese citizen for more than two years combined. Even permanent residents/spouses were at risk of being shut out of the country.
There were small windows for people to get into the country but those were soon closed after. Only this year did they start letting other people back into the country, and only students/teachers/business people at that. They still haven't opened up completely. They're doing a test pilot of 50 foreigners on a set tour later this year. Those tourists can't roam freely and are only able to go to the tour destinations. Any further openings beyond 50 will likewise be stuck going onto to approved set destinations.
