they're cotton and I can easily style them in a normie way, too. If you're into classic and gothic, surface spell tends to have nice solids too. Infanta had a solid dress with lace that was like pseudo-oldschool sweet that was decently cute. I have an old Infanta piece I've worn and washed numerous times and it has held up. It's pretty hard to find good solids, tho. Lots of prints.

There’s no Ali thread and the seller is also on Taobao so I figured I’d ask here: has anyone had issues with Uwowo not sending out their package? I ordered something from them on 11/11 and I finally got tired of waiting and messaged them at the beginning of the month. They said their factory was closed for LNY (understandable) so they didn’t have the cosplay on hand. But now it’s the end of the month and they still keep giving me the LNY excuse.

IIRC 15cm plush clothes are made for plushes with a 15cm chest circumference (the 15cm refers to the height but I think the chest circumferences on them is also coincidentally 15cm). You could buy one cheap 15cm plush shirt and try it on, and if it fits go back and buy more? Things like arm circumference and clothing length could vary.

A few Chinese brands released cotton lace utks somewhat similar to what you'd consider lolita appropriate to go along with their old school inspired releases, but even then I don't recall them having raschel lace or being available in an ivory colorway

FYI you can still use DI to find taobao stuff. On the DI page it said "Lollipops" which tells me that's somewhere in the brand name. So I search on Taobao "Lollipops lolita" and click around until I find it. Doesn't work every single time but it helps.

I've never had a problem with yoybuy and they split my individual packages when I need to ship different things to different addresses, pack things the way I want them to (I had a playmat that I needed them to put in a tube to prevent it from getting squashed in transit and they helped me do that for a small fee) and they got rid of the shoes and the toy camera (which had a battery that I didn't know about) for free. I think EMS is especially bad, I haven't noticed much change for DHL prices as EMS seems to have crept up almost as high, you may as well just use DHL at this point cos it only works out a few dollars more. As far as I have seen too most of the Chinese SS who did have a discount for EMS no longer do.

With 4PX I was ordering everything, shoes, clothes, boardgames etc. a 10kg order was costing me around $180NZD. I think they were actually going via true weight though. But I have a pair of boots sitting with ZTO at the moment which they have weighed in at 1.9kg which even for volumetric I think is a bullshit out the ass weight. I'm not sure how long container shipping is taking at the moment, but I am tempted to switch to a different package forwarder as I have a biased hatred of ZTO.

¥110 for the first kg and ¥70 for each additional with ZTO it looks like. 4PX I believe had very similar rates (can't check it now as its not there) BUT because ZTO over weighs stuff it ends up being expensive anyways.

But I definitely found the shipping offered through Taobao with 4PX to be much cheaper than any SS had offered me, the only downside was Taobao charges you the 15% import tax to NZ.

I added a card recently but it can be soooo picky! Are you using the AliPay app? The website is a nightmare, so if not - definitely use the app! And make sure its the international app and not an APK of the Chinese one!

I have found it can also be super picky about how you add your card and what sort of card you use, eg. I have a prepaid international card that AliPay refuses to load on the app, however I can checkout through AliPay on Taobao using it? The only way I can do it is login with the app, click "Me" then click "bank card" but it only takes my standard bank issued VISA/ Mastercard. I have also found it is a BITCH to verify anything, basically if youre outside of China, do not have Chinese ID or Chinese bank account it wont do anything, just rejects/ says its wrong, I'm not sure how you're trying to add your card but that is possibly why.

I added a screenshot of the app and how I can add the cards, but if its different for you it probably isnt much help. If it is the same and youre doing everything the same way, then I have no idea why it has decided it hates you.

Hi original OP here (that was wanting the link) it arrived earlier this week- it’s pretty nice for the price, the fabric quality is good, it’s a matte poly and there’s decently cute and detailed details in the print, I can see it getting a bit washed out in some washes though.
It’s definitely worth the price to be honest. Straps are adjustable, has nice strong shirring (though I don’t understand why they made it so short length wise, definitely doesn’t sit perfect even if you’re flat), though I’m 163/4cm and think it’s p short as it ends a good palm above my knees. Looking back I ordered L and it may have done me well to order XL for the length.

Either way, I have poly AP dresses and based on them I was actually mildly impressed by this dress for 1/10 the price.

I was ordering Monster High and just going by what was on their Weibo, or displays previous work and kinda just ignored the store rank. But I also ordered directly and forwarded to an agent, which I would recommend if you can as its much better talking to the seller directly yourself as all the ones I had dealt with would message multiple times to confirm styles and finalise the product before sealing it which would be slow/ annoying with an SS.

Is there a good way to find factory direct fabric on Taobao? I’m hoping that the original manufacturer might have additional colors. Searching for cloud chiffon is mostly getting me books about cloud computing I think.

I get the impression preorders are closed, but I'm still able to select short skirt XL size and I think I can see something in the description about extra XL models being available. Also, I see a lot of people in the comments complaining about not receiving a satisfactory preorder confirmation. This is my first time buying a preordered cosplay so I don't really know what to expect apart from paying a deposit, then the rest at a later date, and having to wait for a while.

Second batch preorders are open Aug 16-Sept 16 (pay deposit during this time) and then you pay the remaining balance when it opens Oct 16 6pm. I had a look at the comments that said they weren't happy with the preorder card and it was mostly about how the card was too plain and they would've liked a little more like some photos of the dress or fabric remnants.

That the fucking hilarious, you pay 110 yuan in deposit to receive a deposit certificate (card) and it instructs you to leave a Positive Review so that they will confirm you paid the deposit and agreed to their terms.
Some of the reviewers are complaining about how the card is super cheap and they would've preferred accessories, photos, or swatches of the costume, or even don't bother sending out a card and put the money toward making a better costume or lowering the price of it overall.

And there's some complaints that it's not great quality fabric, uses non-breathable polyester, has details that fall off and so on. I do really like the outfit but there's alot of negative comments... I might have to skip this one sadly.

Is there any taobao stores that make commissioned corset costumes by any chance? Pic related cosplayer doesn't do commissions anymore
