No. Anon's post is clearly reflecting this mindset that stealing in the modern world is Robin Hood shit, even if it's from small businesses or individuals. The couple years before covid there was a wave of thefts in artist alley including fanime, where groups of thieves targeted artists in the alley to steal their phones and cash bags. For a lot of these artists they have to dump hundreds of dollars into tabling at these cons so losing their property like this can literally affect their ability to continue making art. Putting that on the same level as stealing from a target and acting like it's "cool actually" fucking sucks. Taking someone's wallet out of their pocket and acting like it's nbd because stealing from random people is the new rage against the machine bullshit fucking sucks.

I have empathy for some people who shoplift even if it's just for comfort products they don't need and can't afford, these stores profit off the backs of impoverished people while bringing in millions a year when they could cut their profits a little and give more people a living wage.
